Bragging that a test you’ve taken four times (think that might have provided a clue to correct answers?) shows that you have “extreme intelligence”, when the test isn’t designed to measure intelligence, could be taken as a sign of mental impairment.
It’d be fun to ask Trump at a news conference if he’d take a different cognitive test on live TV along with Gavin Newsom, with the results to be judged by an independent panel of neurologists.
The resulting Trumpian explosion would probably make “Shut up, piggy” sound like an endearment.
That’s good. I’ve got to start watching Seth Meyers again, especially since the Colbert Show is no more. This quote, changed to past tense, should be trump’s epitaph:
“He brags about stuff that you wouldn’t have to brag about if the thing you were bragging about was actually true.”
It’s like saying, “I’m such a good driver, I’ve passed three field sobriety tests this month. The cops keep on giving them to me, and I keep on passing!”
I did hear something about that, now that you mention it. So he’s going to be putting up new episodes on YT? So far it looks like that YT link is of his past shows up to the Paramount finale. No new content yet. But I imagine he’ll want to take a nice long break and regroup before he gets back into it.
Yep
I know this gets said ad nauseum, but I do not understand how anybody, at this point, can continue to pretend that he is anything but a national embarrassment.
I posted that after a hasty search on my phone. Sorry. See if this clarifies. It may take more searching.
Stephen Colbert launches YouTube channel after show cancellation
Instead of making a polished comeback announcement, Stephen Colbert resurfaced through a small Michigan public-access station. His new YouTube channel appeared over the weekend and quickly pulled in more than 120,000 subscribers after uploading a video titled “Only In Monroe — May 22, 2026.” The clip features Colbert visiting Monroe Community Media, a local station in the town of Monroe, Michigan (via The Guardian).
During the appearance, Colbert joked about how quickly he returned to television after leaving CBS. “It’s been an excruciating 23 hours without being on TV,” he said before joking that he was happy to appear on Monroe Community Media, “before they also get acquired by Paramount.” The line referenced Paramount’s recent merger deal involving Skydance Media and executives Larry and David Ellison, who are seen as allies of the current US President Donald Trump.
…
It’s like Colin Jost said about George Santos when the latter claimed to have been a volleyball star at Baruch College: “That’s a fine thing to be, but a really weird thing to pretend to be.”
