Trump is dying

Realistically, Nixon stepped down because his choices were to leave office or suffer greater consequences.

We can pretty easily imagine a case where, for example, Dan Bongino became privy to some information, threatens to release it, and Trump offers to step down if Bongino would just sit on the info.

If we assume that Trump has done a wide variety of bad things over his life, and we see that he’s required to hire on people (e.g. Bondi, Bongino, etc.) that he doesn’t necessarily know intimately and yet whom he must rely upon to deal with and cover over his life’s indiscretions, there’s always the risk that one of them decides that neither the sanctity of the post nor the man are worth it to keep things secret.

Why in the world would a supposed billionaire not have a full time make-up artist in his employ? There’s no reason for those blotches and discolorations to not be hidden. Same with his stupid face. If they can’t fix it, they can sure as fuck cover it up.

“Why doesn’t Andropov go on foreign visits?”
The answer:
“Because his extension cord isn’t long enough.”

Not to mention his replacement:

“Why doesn’t Chernenko travel abroad?”
“Because they can’t find a coffin big enough to take him.”

It’s a puzzle. During his first term, he and his sons wore ill-fitting tuxes when they met the queen. Surely Trump could have used his Hollywood connections to line up a talented tailor. Martin Greenfield provided suits for Presidents Eisenhower through Obama and did a terrific job.

I speculate that Trump has a degree of color blindness, which is why he overdoes the bronze on his face. Underlying all of this is that he’s a lunkhead who can’t effectively delegate or consult with expert opinion.

You guys - Saturday morning I was driving home from class and spotted a flag at half mast in the city park. I immediately thought that IT HAD HAPPENED overnight and being that I didn’t check any social media or hear any news since I’d gone to bed, I wasn’t yet aware. I even opened my phone to check social media while sitting at the stop light in front of the park.

False alarm. Flag was lowered for the Minneapolis shootings, which sucked, and thus made me sad. So the whole thing ended up being a big letdown.

What a disappointment! Every time I saw the Death Pool thread bumped yesterday, I felt the same.
One day, it will be true.

“If there is any person in the town, who feels emotion caused by this man’s death,” said Scrooge quite agonised, “show that person to me, Spirit, I beseech you.”

The Phantom spread its dark robe before him for a moment, like a wing; and withdrawing it, revealed a room by daylight, where a mother and her children were.

She was expecting some one, and with anxious eagerness; for she walked up and down the room; started at every sound; looked out from the window; glanced at the clock; tried, but in vain, to work with her needle; and could hardly bear the voices of the children in their play.

At length the long-expected knock was heard. She hurried to the door, and met her husband; a man whose face was careworn and depressed, though he was young. There was a remarkable expression in it now; a kind of serious delight of which he felt ashamed, and which he struggled to repress.

He sat down to the dinner that had been boarding for him by the fire; and when she asked him faintly what news (which was not until after a long silence), he appeared embarrassed how to answer.

“Is it good.” she said, “or bad?” – to help him.

“Bad,” he answered.

“We are quite ruined.”

“No. There is hope yet, Caroline.”

“If he relents,” she said, amazed, “there is. Nothing is past hope, if such a miracle has happened.”

“He is past relenting,” said her husband. “He is dead.”

She was a mild and patient creature if her face spoke truth; but she was thankful in her soul to hear it, and she said so, with clasped hands. She prayed forgiveness the next moment, and was sorry; but the first was the emotion of her heart.

“What the half-drunken woman whom I told you of last night, said to me, when I tried to see him and obtain a week’s delay; and what I thought was a mere excuse to avoid me; turns out to have been quite true. He was not only very ill, but dying, then.”

“To whom will our debt be transferred?”

“I don’t know. But before that time we shall be ready with the money; and even though we were not, it would be a bad fortune indeed to find so merciless a creditor in his successor. We may sleep to-night with light hearts, Caroline.”

Yes. Soften it as they would, their hearts were lighter. The children’s faces hushed, and clustered round to hear what they so little understood, were brighter; and it was a happier house for this man’s death. The only emotion that the Ghost could show him, caused by the event, was one of pleasure.

Ha!!!

As I understand it, he was scheduled to give a live update at 2pm ET. It’s now 25 minutes past and the live feed hasn’t even started across two different sources… The Hill just went back to color bars instead of the “Event is about to begin” screen.

The injection of uppers has yet to take effect.

I have scars and purplish dark spots from my car accident. They make cosmetics for just such things.

It’s heavy, takes practice to apply properly. But, it works.

I’ve got CNN on. It’s showing its usual stuff, but there is a chyron: “Any moment on CNN: Pres. Trump speaks in Oval Office.”

I’ll believe it when I see it.

Welp, he seems to be alive. Better luck next time, world.

Well, he looks near dead. Ick

Not dead or, at least, good AI video gen.

It looks like they kicked in!

Yeah, he doesn’t look well.

So the Space Force (is that really necessary?) is moving to Huntsville, Alabama. “Canada called, and said they want to be a part of the Golden Dome defense strategy.” News to this Canadian; as far as I’m aware, nobody in our government called the US.

When asked about why he hasn’t been seen for six days, he said that he held press conferences, but the fake news wasn’t reporting them.

Oh and Chicago is a hellhole, Baltimore is a hellhole, Los Angeles needed the National Guard, and it’s up to him to fix the crime problem so he’ll be sending the National Guard wherever he sees a problem. “Washington DC is a safe city now; we took 1600 people out, hardcore criminals.”

“Black people in Chicago are saying, ‘please please please help us with our crime problem!’” And cope need to be big and strong, not woke, and weak.

Other than those points, it’s the usual rambling all over the place.

Gawd, I hate that smirk.

OMG. Next: Newsmax, OANN, Fox, etc., start retconning their websites with excerpts from those non-existent “press conferences” from the past week, to please Dear Leader.

“We’ve taken in trillions of dollars, thanks to tariffs. And that liberal court said we couldn’t. We’ll be going to the Supreme Court, probably tomorrow, get an expedited decision.”

He still believes that foreign countries pay them!

What’s really worrying though, at least to me, is that not one reporter in the room is calling him out on that.
