Trump is Made Chair of the Kennedy Center

What a delightful boy! It’s a pleasure to talk to you. Yes, my buck!

Does this mean there will be no marble armrests? Is there anybody on Earth One besides trump who even knew marble armrests were a thing?

Well, Lincoln has marble armrests in HIS memorial…

You mean at the Donald J Trump and Abraham Lincoln Memorial?

It seems to me that the first prerequisite to get a memorial is to be dead. Then after you’re gone, people can decide whether you rate a memorial or not.

Chances are high that he is, with a margin of error plus or minus two years.

His memorial should be along the lines of the Nixon Monument:

Is that deep enough for the temperature to increase at the bottom?

Good news!

I am surprised they are not waiting until after appeals are denied.

Maybe Trump really really has given on on pretending to govern. With any luck, he’s in a deep depression over all the winning.

Given his love for Russia, maybe they can donate the Kola Superdeep Borehole .

They’re in no hurry, despite the court-imposed deadline. At this moment, the easiest thing to change, the name of the center on the website, is still “The Trump Kennedy Center”. The harder thing to change, the removal of the lettering from the building, may or may not have started yet, depending on who you believe.

The whole thing is just such a typical laughable Trump fiasco. I believe he recently self-declared an IQ of 185. Maybe, if you drop the “1” and subtract another 30.

The “Alt National Park Service” on FB posted the following:

The Kennedy Center is preparing to restore its original identity. According to an internal memo, attorneys for the institution have instructed staff to begin removing references to Trump from official materials and to once again use the venue’s full historic name The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The changes are expected to happen quickly. Employees have been told to update email signatures, letterhead, and other official documents immediately. Signage throughout the building, along with furniture and branding bearing Trump’s name, is scheduled to be replaced, with all references slated to be removed by June 12.

I tend to trust the info they provide.

Maybe, maybe not. It seems like it should be the easiest thing to do, but maybe whoever has the ability to make changes is not available, or got fired, or is refusing to cooperate.

Technically easy, yes. You log in, retype it, and hit “save”. It’s like changing a Word document. But only if you have access to it. Remember who has been running things of late, and imagine how screwed up things might be right now.

It might be easier to physically fix signs than a web site, because you can walk up to the building facade and physically touch it. Not so much on a web site.

Nah, just replace the name Trump with :black_medium_small_square: Sort of like the Epstein files.

I was looking forward to seeing the big gold letters come down, but now I think that covering them with black bunting might be a lot easier, and send a more interesting message…

Yup. Some plywood, black paint and some glue. It might be good to have some of the plywood slowly fall off reveling his name. Only to be put back up.

That would be a reference to the Epstein files and his crumbling ‘empire’.

Maybe we change the name from “The Donald J Trump and The John F Kennedy Memorial Center” to “The John F Kennedy and Epstein Victims’ Memorial Center” with the promise to return it to it’s original name, “The John F Kennedy Memorial Center” upon the release of the Epstein Files as required by The Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was signed into law by President Trump.

Just checked the website - no sign of Twitler that I can see: https://www.kennedy-center.org/

A wonderful start! Now, about the signage out front…
