Trump Magically Turns NFL Games Into Anti-Trump Rallies

From what I’ve gathered (and I’m more than happy to be wrong, the majority of it comes from a single book detailing the history of “Motherfucker”), black culture is defined by the mother. She’s the pinnacle of the family unit, and disrespecting her is, simply, fighting words. Calling out their mothers was far more likely to get an overwhelmingly negative response than simply going with “assholes”, “jackasses”, or “fucking fukfuks”.

So you were bullshitting about answering questions posed to you in this thread then?

By the way, I predict that new thread isn’t going to go the way you anticipate it will…

Oh sure it will. It will give him attention, and he can fap away.

Indeed, those mothers raised sons that are not only successful, but also have conscience and empathy. With all their millions they just could shrug off this case, but they are in fact risking their careers for others who are in weaker positions.
That’s damn respectful and they did better job than mothers of… well, I wont’s say as my mother would disapprove it ;).

This assumes the dufus actually calculates. As opposed to just barfing up whatever insanity crosses his mind.

Bolding mine. Once again with more fervor this time; they are not protesting the anthem.

That’s the Faux/Rush/Hannity attempt to distract the base (shrubs).

That works for me.

Showing concern, within the law, and within the framework of freedom of speech and freedom of expression – as described in the First Amendment – not given or granted or allowed by some overlord but merely described – is bad.

Glorifying and praising a murderous civil war grounded in high treason, and goose stepping and sieg heiling to defend statues which glorify that treason is OK though.

And I’m a vet… you ALL know where I stand. or kneel.
oh, and scumbag trump has no right to scold anyone about patriotism, that Putin’s dick eating traitor motherfucker.

As admirable as being willing to die for one’s country may be, veteran status does not convey upon one the title of super citizen, whose opinions are to be regarded as more valuable. Some vets may agree with the protests, some may find them abhorrent- it’s irrelevant. In the end, it comes down to rights and there is a right to peacefully protest. I realize the NFL could insist on North Korean type conformity, but it would be a huge mistake for them so to do.

I’ve said it before, but it bears repeating.

Getting elected President is the beginning, not the end. It isn’t like winning the Super Bowl or something. Once you’re President, you’re supposed to do stuff. That’s the point. To effect change. To enact policy. Not act like that drunk uncle who came to the party and shit in the punch bowl while wearing a lampshade on his head, and groped Aunt Clara, then declared himself the best uncle ever, and then passed out on the front lawn.

Crazy alright, but more like a fox that ate loco weed, and ran headfirst into a tree too many times.

According to Washington Post, kneeling, sitting, or not being on the field during the playing of the National Anthem is against league’s game operations manual:

“The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

“During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country.

Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.”

Lot’s of “should’s” and “may’s” in that, Okrah.

The key word being “may,” of course.

until around 2009 teams were not on the field for the anthem. What changed was the pentagon started paying teams to “salute the troops” Of course the pentagon kept the payments quiet until someone dug that info up.

There were people in this thread claiming that since it wasn’t in any negotiated union agreements, the NFL couldn’t punish players for it. This shows that they can. Or “may” if you prefer.

So fucking what? They had the balls to risk punishment. Something you don’t understand.

Not all NASCAR stars are supporting Trump/condemning the NFL protests:

He was quoting John F. Kennedy there, of course.

Good point!

John Kelly isn’t too happy now…
