Non-fungible tokens have been around for a while, but (at least in my perception), they’ve been really exploding lately, with digital artists earning record sums, and Nike filing a patent for a ‘blockchain-based NFT-sneaker’ called ‘CryptoKicks’ ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
