Half right!
Two things.
One, on behalf of myself and everyone else who put an actual effort into parodying this announcement, I feel robbed. This was even more half-assed than usual for Trump, and we deserved a more developed nothingburger than this!
Okay, and this should probably end up going into the schadenfreude thread, but it is just 
of perfect Trumpian timing. Jump into a NFT / Crypto / Money Mismanagement Scheme right as the whole concept is getting pummeled with lawsuits, investigation and indictments? Only Trump could pull it off with his . . . impeccable comic timing.
I’m betting that The Late Show with Stephen Colbert will open with an appropriate Y.M.C.A. parody.
For someone who claims to be a high-powered real estate magnate, his actual businesses seem really low-rent. Like Trump Steaks, Trump University or this fiasco. And as a former president, making money should not be difficult.
There’s only one possible running mate – himself. Or a clone of him. Anything else would not be up to his standards.
Ivanka would fit his needs.
Most former presidents make money by going on the lecture circuit and doing speech-for-pay. Trump can barely string a few simple words into a comprehensible sentence fragment. Who is going to pay him to come and inarticulately ramble about his big beautiful slice of chocolate cake as the keynote to their convention?

Well, I would, but mostly to laugh at him.
How about a “Spanked with a rolled-up magazine by Stormy Daniels” card? They took them off the market when Stormy’s lawyer started asking awkward questions about her cut of the proceeds, but I managed to score one first.
I can’t give you an exact word, but the reaction I had was exactly the same as the first time I saw this scene.
Speaking of hubris and lack of self-awareness, yes, he did. Ugh.

I was thinking that there were 45,000 copies, but I think you are right that there are 45,000 cards each of which can have up to 20 copies. So this ups the potential market cap to reasonable grift levels. The fact that there are so many different cards guarantees that they represent computer randomized subtle variations on a much more limited set of art.
I don’t think this is going acrtually make him a bunch of money. Lurking over at the Free Republic I’m not seeing anyone who is actually expressing much interest in buying these. At best they are saying that they wish him well on his newest business enterprise, with the rest saying it makes him look bad, and a significant number saying that it was all a 5-diementional chess ruse to distract from his “real” big announcement which was a video (warning link opens directly to video of orange blovator) about his plan to protect “free speech” which involves firing any government employee that identifies misinformation.

The comments on that YouTube video are awesome. I can’t believe they didn’t have the sense to turn them off. My favorite so far is, “Truly, we live in an alternate reality. There is no way this is the primary timeline.”
