Trump Pit Thread

Yesterday, an acquaintance who ushers at the local civic auditorium said she worked at a Trump rally that was held there a few weeks ago, and said it was the scariest thing she had ever witnessed. :frowning:

Well, that could mean a lot of things. Got any details?

Hank Beecher is truly special.

Yep, mad cred, dude. Mad cred.

Been meaning to ask… any relation to the Beecher from Oz? The one who bit a guy’s dick off?

Article today on Trump’s 118 room mansion in Florida, and how life is there, according to his butler, who sounds like as big a prick as Trump is.

Huh. Trump ruined the 16th century Flemish tapestries by flooding the living room with sunlight, instead of donating them to a museum and putting up some Leroy Neimans instead. Trump turned the library full of rare first editions into a bar. Who’d a thunk it?

One wonders if he ever has opened and read any of those rare first editions. (Or any cheaper editions of the same books.)

No, one doesn’t, not really.

I have it on good authority the pages were still uncut.

The man’s a Belasco!

Or a Jay Gatsby.

She said she had always wondered who all those people were who watch things like the Kardashians and “those jungle survival programs” and sure enough, there were several thousand in one place. She saw very few non-white people, and during his speech, he didn’t really say much except the usual “We’re going to make America great again!” and other similar generic proclamations, all of which elicited cheers from the audience.

She also never encountered a crowd of any kind that smelled so strongly of cigarette smoke as that one. I know she was trying to avoid the phrase “white trash” while describing them. :o

Oh, so it was kind of 12 stores worth of your average Wal-Mart crowd all in one place. Got it.

Yeah, in another thread he’s typed around five thousand angry words over the past several hours arguing over whether or not CNN should have given more coverage to Trump’s endorsement by a Black Republican’s organization that apparently consists of one person (or perhaps a few dozen persons; whatever).

I’m guessing we could fairly safely put him down as a Trump supporter, eh?.

One needn’t wonder since it says right in the article, when the books are mentioned:

I also liked this bit:

I really wish I knew what his “profane description” of her was. One can only imagine.

And also, you gotta love this portrait.

Getting after Trump on a minor political indiscretion is like busting Jeffrey Dahmer for health code infractions on food storage.

Has anyone mentioned this yet?

Donald Trump’s volunteer contract forbids all criticism of Trump for life

Ha!!

Came in here to mention this. This is simply bullying, he’s counting on the fact that volunteers will be too intimidated by his public image and wealth to realise that this is a completely illegal and un-enforceable contract.

I hope a media agency manages to sneak a volunteer in, then publish an expose, the resulting legal battle would smack trump down and bring some media attention to the tricks that he tries to pull.

I like that the “volunteer contract” also includes a non-compete, meaning the volunteer can’t work for another candidate, until the non-compete cutoff date expires. And if he loses but chooses to run later, that can be a good long time.

Get your money back, Donald! The portrait is supposed to do the aging for you!

Tell me more about this felony business…
