Trump Pressured Georgia Official to ‘Find’ Enough Votes to Overturn Election

Thanks for doing the work and sharing what would actually be involved. It puts my mind at ease somewhat. I appreciate your effort.

Just an effort to clear things up, but the linked CNN article indicates that it was a Federal Judge in California, although it did reference Eastman’s efforts to influence the George election as one of the examples of illegal intent behind the litigation.

Did this come up in regards to the CA investigation into Eastman’s (many) ethical investigation? Because as I understand it, Carter was overseeing the fight to pry various documentation out of Eastman’s hands, in which Carter has already indicated probable criminal intent - which may one day play out in Georgia’s courts, but apparently not yet.

An older, but somewhat more general article from earlier in the year. The CNN one seems to an update about additional documents being forced out of the wease… I mean lawyer’s hands.

Justice Clarence Thomas temporarily blocks Lindsey Graham’s testimony in Georgia election interference probe (msn.com)

thomas requests that georgia respond by end of day thursday to graham’s plea.

Of course it would be Thomas.

That’s because it is his area of responsibility. The stay means nothing. It just kicks it up to the whole court to consider. Don’t draw any conclusions just yet.

Oh, okay. Still seems so appropriate of all nine that it would be him.

He gets the cases appealing decisions by the 11th Circuit. That includes Georgia (in this case), Alabama, and all of the crazy that comes out of Florida (See Trump v DOJ).

Pretty convenient all the same.

Thomas was responsible for the 11th Circuit a long time before Trump was President.

supreme court rejects lindsey graham’s request to block georgia grand jury subpoena.

on to testimony.

It wouldn’t have worked anyway: trump was wanting to “win” Georgia by one vote according to the tape. Results that stupidly tight would be immediately subject to recounts, in which case his fraud would likely have been found out (I like to think).

He probably figured that he’d get the Supreme Court to stop any recount “for the good of the country”

And we’re back at it…again:

I know this is an old thread but it seems the right place (if not, let me know and I will move it or start a new thread if there is time to edit this one):

Full title: Georgia state Election Board Republicans order 2020 reinvestigation; Donald Trump celebrates

Three Republicans on Georgia’s state election board earned former President Donald Trump’s approval for the second time in a week, this time after voting to reinvestigate the 2020 election − despite being cautioned by a colleague that their actions could be illegal.

Trump reposted a video of the portion of the board’s Wednesday meeting when the three Republican members outvoted the one Democrat and the nonpartisan chairman to revive the inquiry.

Just what do they hope to accomplish, a mulligan?

I understand Cyber Ninjas is available again.

A brilliant move - Trump : “I want people to investigate the crime I am trying to slither out of”

My god these people are dumbasses.

Actually, I think it’s quite deliberate; they want to prepare people to doubt the results of the presidential election if Trump loses in November. It’s horribly damaging for the nation but they don’t care about that.

^^^

This is the answer. It’s an effort to pre-but the outcome of 2024, conditioning voters to question the results in 2024 if Trump loses. As @Dewey_Finn said.

I think the Republicans can already tell they’re going to lose this election.

It seems Trump is very worried about that now:

I’m hearing “When The Levee Breaks”, but I thought I knew better than to be optimistic.
