He is a far right Trump apologist and Covid denier…and where are you getting “1 million subs” from?
Right under the guy’s name, on both that video, and his homepage on Youtube, it says, “1.03M subscribers.”
He’s been mod-warned to drop it.
Who else heard the question of JD being ready “on day one” was a subtle hint that you will be impeached before the tiny crowd leaves the inauguration (indoors, because, you know…) ?
Surely not just me? But I loved his answer.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned from watching Finding Your Roots, and since the days of DNA, is that all black people in the United States are really mixed race. Some are more mixed than others, but good luck finding a black person who has zero white ancestry. I think it’s a bad idea to take any part of your election strategy from a book that is 70 years old.
(Sorry, didn’t read the thread in between. Did not intend to continue hijack.)
I think this whole event is hilarious because WTF did Trump think was going to happen? Like when it was just getting started, I thought to myself “I bet the headline later today isn’t going to be how Trump had the best day ever and gave a really Presidential answer to every question.” My thought was that he would last about 10 minutes, declare the whole thing to be biased and storm off. Turned out he lasted a little more than half an hour. Still can’t answer basic questions about things he has said. Still can’t stand to have someone repeat his own actions back to him. I wonder if the Republicans are having a moment right now similar to the one Democrats had after the debate. Probably not but at least of few of them have got to be somewhat concerned by now…
“They’re going to love me. I’ve done more for the blacks than anyone ever. They owe me their loyalty.”
That’s a pretty standard turn of phrase.
Oh, this loser?
The irony here is that a so-called “black woman” that many in the black community champion could not be bothered to show up to a professional black event.
Keep pushing the racist talk. That’s sure going to help your dear leader.
As for the rest of the article, there are zero specifics, because any actual details are going to belie statements like:
Overall, Trump did well despite the hostile environment on stage and in the audience.
People on the right are only going to hear opinions from propagandists like this guy and aren’t going to actually see the debacle itself because they don’t think they have to.
That’s okay. They’re going to vote for Trump no matter what. This is going to really hurt him where it matters though, and that’s with people who aren’t part of his base.
You are right that this was an unmitigated disaster for Trump. Ouch.
Yeah, but the event started an hour late because he and his team were having a meltdown backstage when they found out he would be fact checked in real time.
So still a pathetic liar and giant loser.
Well the simple solution to that conundrum is to tell Trump that if he wants to screw around and waste time he is welcome to do so… outside.
No one here even mentioned that he questioned whether the Vice President passed the bar exam. When they tried to correct him he just yells over them and keeps lying. What a dick loser.
Right, and in the margins, there are people saying, “Aw, c’mon, what the fuck, man!” at his performance. This isn’t going to help him in the margins. People who weren’t paying attention in the margins are now paying attention to his insulting Black journalists who were asking fair questions. They’re paying attention to his straight-up lies about how Harris describes her racial identity. They’re paying attention to his ignorance about how Black people understand race, and get out of here with that “He’s drawing on theories from a 70-year-old book about racial identity that he’s totally heard of, let alone read” nonsense.
And you’re hearing hoofbeats and thinking zebras. Trump has a cult of personality built around him, where his loyal cultists follow him around and laugh at his inane banter and make him think he’s a genius. It’s super fucked up, but he lives in this world where the sycophants feed his ego constantly. When he’s in another arena, the only move he has is to call people nasty and to make his inane banter even angrier and more sullen.
He’s not got some subtle understanding of the difference between Black and African American. He projects his own fakery onto everyone else, and assumes that because he doesn’t understand multiracial identities that must mean Harris is a liar.
That wasn’t a strategy. It was just Trump being his awful self.

There’s a dedicated Pit thread if you just can’t resist:
I’m African-descended, literally in Africa, and I’m not Black. It’s not quite so clear-cut.
I fear your dare may turn out to go towards mango-support instead of against him. I sincerely hope I’m wrong. Just part of me thinks this all just turns into racial bullshit and no discussion on climate, wars, guns, taxes, etc.
No, he was definitely going for a “Gotcha” on that one. He’s seen or heard about people on his side being publicly embarrassed by being asked to define terms they use, like “woke”, and being completely unable to do that. He thought he could turn the tables on them using the same strategy, but was utterly unaware that some people actually can define the words they use without going into brain lock.
It was clear from his reaction that he had no fall back plan. He really thought this would work to get him off the hook, and generate a video his side could use to embarrass the interviewers.
There is no way that rhetoric gains him support outside of his base.
That one’s easy. He thought they’d love him.
Remember, he’s always surrounded by sycophants who tell him that he’s the Bestest President Ever (present tense fully intended); he only watches TV news on channels that like him; he’s got staff who provide him with newspaper clippings that are favourable to him; and his rally crowds obviously love him. He’s living in a bubble where he is loved by all.
But he’s never spoken before a crowd that doesn’t love him. Today he did. And he learned that he’s not popular with all Americans, contrary to what his bubble and his sycophants tell him. No doubt, he’s confused by it—“I thought they’d love me”—but he faced reality today, and he obviously didn’t like it.
I’m sure that somewhere, tonight, there’s a ketchup-stained wall.
Oh I’m sure he has, particularly before being nominated in 2016. But it has probably been a while, and he might think that at this point he has achieved a status where he doesn’t have to ever face a crowd that isn’t ecstatic to see him. So it would still be a shock.
He’s also very aware that there are people that hate him, but I’m sure to him it’s some tiny percentage of rabid left wing loonies. After all, he’s constantly complaining and threatening his enemies, so he knows they’re out there. He just figures they’re out there, to find that they might be in the room with him is inconceivable.
