I kinda doubt this. The list of nominees is kept secret for 50 years. If someone actually nominated Musk or Rush Limbaugh, and this is publicly known, then those who did the nomination were breaching a privilege and the Nobel Foundation is very stuffy about that.
The list of nominees up to 1974 is public. And regarding Hitler (nominated in 1939) we can find this
The nomination was withdrawn 1 February 1939 by nominator E.G.C. Brandt1, an anti-fascist member of the Swedish parliament who never intended his submission to be taken seriously.

I once worked with a fellow who was nominated for a notable industry award. The radio station made a big deal about it. He recorded a promo saying how “honored” he was to be nominated.
Then we found out he had nominated himself.
Trump can’t nominate himself for a Nobel Peace Prize but he can make it worthwhile for someone else to do it for him. Like Pakistan.
The nomination of Limbaugh was in 2007 by something called the Landmark Legal Foundation, whose president is Mark Levin. However, it was not considered a valid nomination.
A nomination for the Nobel Peace Prize may be submitted by any person who meets the nomination criteria. A letter of invitation to submit is not required.

So while the list of nominees is indeed kept secret, most anybody can submit a nomination and then brag about it, even if it’s not considered valid.

The Peace Prize is such a joke anyways. In addition to the people/organizations that have gotten it, have not gotten it and been nominated for it, if Trump won it would illicit a yawn except for the professional recreational-outragers. Remember Obama won it just for not being George W. Bush.
Trump cannot win the Nobel Peace Prize for the simple reason that the Nobel committee recognizes as well as anyone that Trump is a blight upon the earth.
Like elementary bosons with zero electric charge and spin of 1, the Nobel Peace Prize is really its own anti-prize, awarded equally to great humanitarians and promulgators of mass murder.
Give me a precise measure of the benefits of the problems it solved and the disadvantages of the problems it caused. Compare those two measurements. Which is larger?
Give me a complete list of the humanitarians and the promulgators of mass murder that it has been awarded to. Create a measurement of the benefits and the disadvantages that can be compared on the same scale. Show me that the sum of the two things equals exactly zero.

It makes him crazy that Obama got a Nobel. He’s obsessed by it. And when he doesn’t win one, he’ll be telling the world what a meaningless nothing the Nobel Prize is.
Even if the official list of nominees is kept secret, the set of people who can nominate is so expansive that it’s a near-certainty that Trump (and Putin and Netanyahu and Khamenei and Biden and Harris and pretty much every other prominent politician you can think of) has already been nominated. Trump can’t nominate himself, but Vance or Boebert or Noem or plenty of other people could.
I saw someone say (and I know this isn’t a thing) that they should give it to Obama again, just to piss off Trump.
Regarding the nominations being secret, ISTM that means pretty much anyone can say they nominated him without actually doing so, right? I wouldn’t be surprised if tons of RW politicians will suck up to him by telling him they nominated him.
Wait, does the person being nominated get any of the details about who nominated them? I mean, even if they do, those people can say they nominated him but the woke nobel prize people must have removed the nomination. He’d absolutely believe that.
