…or so says one of my Facebook friends. Seriously, how can people not be completely mortified by admitting to believing this sort of thing?
Over and over there are people who say “the rapture will happen on (some date)!” and when (some date) comes and goes they just say “oh, I meant on (some other date)!”.
Apparently Protestantism will end when Trump hands over authority to the Catholic church on Halloween:
These folks remind me of Ben Carson - educated, articulate and batshit insane.
I would vote for him. But, there are so many people in government at this moment, that could do a better job than Trump, it is almost laughable if it wasn’t so scary!!
No, that was JPII. Frankie’s so cool that he’s reaching out to us Lutherans, saying that our communion bread won’t turn to ashes on our tongues. Which, as an usher, was my line when a pewful of Catlics were there for a baptism. Ours take. Not sure about Mormon baptisms, but good God, we’re closer theologically than Muslims than them. FTR, when in a mosque, do not suggest that to your pastor. He might laugh.
When Steve retired I wanted to be on the search committee, but Wife was dying and I didn’t have the time. I wanted to ask, “How often have you been arrested?” McDonald’s HQ is down the road. Steve had his lawyer on speed-dial. As a result of his efforts, a line cook is paid better than me.
Oh, whatever. There are reasons the constitution wouldn’t allow it but that’s all fake news.
I’m only surprised it’s someone as mainstream as the Pope and not Scientologist or something weirder.
Well it’s a well know fact that there’s a group of the five wealthiest people in the world known as the pentaverate, who run everything in the world, including the newspapers. And meet tri-annually at a secret country mansion known as, the Meadows. The Pentaverate is The Queen, The Vatican, The Gettys, The Rothchilds and Col. Sanders before he went tits up.
I have to kind of wonder, though… The people who are spreading this obviously hate both Trump and the Catholic Church, and are prone to conspiracy theories. I would have thought that most of the conspiracy-prone Catholic-haters would have been Trump supporters. Accusing Obama of doing this wouldn’t surprise me… but Trump?
On a more practical note, this is obviously a demographic that we can turn out to vote against Trump in 2020, if we figure out the right messaging for them.
October 31st, 2017 is the five-hundredth anniversary, to the day, of Martin Luther kicking off the Protestant Reformation, so, yeah, sure. timing checks out. We are tired of all these splinter groups and want to reunite them with the One True Faith, and Trump is our Secret Plan to do this. How did y’all find out, again?
