Trump voters: explain yourselves

Even if, and that’s a big IF, he actually wants to change things up, I seriously do not think he is competent to do so. And these changes he claims to want to make seem ridiculous and bigoted/racist/xenophobic/sexist and all the rest. And you think that those are the “right cause”?

I believe that Clinton’s blind ambition would cause her to risk a high chance of defeat in the national election rather than abandon her last chance at the White House. She should withdraw from the race and allow Sanders or Elizabeth Warren to be the nominee. This would be her greatest gift to the nation that she repeatedly promises to serve: avoiding a ruinous Republican presidency.

This guy clearly knows what he’s talking about.

Well, at least to live in places that are not close to sea water. Or close to dry areas, or places that will have to deal with more refugees if not much is done to control emissions.

The change Trump wants is no change at all, and he will end up accelerating the damage.

Was it the same quote from Lumpy?

I’m attending a “Should Trump be president?” debate in a few hours time.

I signed up for this event a couple of weeks ago thinking it would be funny – there were plenty of Trump supporters here in China, just like there are plenty of Putin fans, so they’d actually be people supporting the answer “yes”.

But disgust over the tapes, and insults of women, has been as strong here as anywhere, and combined with the accusations of vote-rigging, many shake their heads and say it shows that democracy in general, and American democracy in particular, is fatally flawed.

The thought occurs What if I have to be on the Trump side, just because someone has to? I’d have nothing, right, other than “Hillary’s much worse. Emails, people, emails!!”?

An anonymous hit piece from someone who does nothing but. Not impressed.

It astounds me how simple many people believe the job of president to be. As if stating, ‘I want to do this…’ is all it takes.

Do it all sarcastically or tongue in cheek. Actually make the arguments that Trump and his supporters make, inherently pointing out how dumb they are.

Or, if you could swing it, I guess you could point out the similarities to Trumpism and the Chinese government. Trump is definitely not democratic. (Maybe that sounds like a better idea in my head.)

Since he has no record of public service at all, you’d have to just take his word for it.

For what it’s worth, you almost certainly can live with it - Trump is not too likely to preside over secession (like James Buchanan) or go to the brink of World War III (like JFK), so the U.S. will probably be more-or-less the same shape after his administration.
I guess.

Well I can do it as both a joke and referencing China / Chinese government.

Start with:
“At the risk of reinforcing stereotypes, you guys like building walls, right…?”

No it was a different random quote from earlier in the thread.

If she’s elected President, unlike many on the left if Trump gets elected, I’ll live with it.

A lot like I did with Obama.

Of course not. But I don’t buy into your premise that he’s a bigot, racists, xenophobic, or sexist.

If I did I wouldn’t vote for him.

I know. You’re only impressed with those that agree with you and your ego.

I happened to think he explained the feeling about her running for President (and her actions leading up to that) better than I could have.

It astounds me how many Democrats feel the same way about running and growing a business. ‘You didn’t build that’.

“You didn’t build that,” is an acknowledgement that running a business isn’t that simple. For, in context, that quote means that government infrastructure is required and businesses don’t just exist in a vacuum.

Then again, I’m not that surprised that you got that backwards (considering your completely out-of-context attempted gotcha quote).

That quote, taken out of context as correctly noted upthread, is attributed solely to Barack Obama. I’ve never heard anyone else but Republicans repeating it (again, out of context), so what are you talking about?

You want to make a case for something, leading off with complete bullshit is not the best way to do it.

While you’re in the process of taking 4 words out of the middle of someone’s speech to misinterpret in order to get angry about the misinterpretation, do you ever wonder to yourself “how did I become so intellectually bankrupt”?

Is there anything he could do that would make you think he might be one of those things? If so, what?

If the case you want to make is complete bullshit, there are limited options.

You mean unlike Trump, whose pursuit of the White House has nothing to do with ego whatsoever, but represents only the principled stand from a selfless and humble man who does not seek power yet is willing to selflessly sacrifice his life because he’s not the hero America deserves but the one it needs ? :dubious:

Many already pointed at the clear bullshit from HeweyLogan, I will look at his “bigot, racists, xenophobic, or sexist” items, and as an exercise I will use only **conservative **critics of Trump.

As it is clear, you are indeed a very ignorant guy.

As for sexist:

Yep, bigoted, racist, xenophobic and sexist is what you are voting for.

Notice how it is a given by the conservative critic that Trump is an example of someone that is not being representative of the conservative movement regarding women. Unfortunately that is undermined by what has taken place. We have seen most conservatives are still willing to lie in bed with that dog. Well, most Americans are realizing that the fleas the supporters of Trump are catching are because they want to.

As President of the League of Less Educated White Guys, I’d like to personally thank you for not being condescending!
By the way, how old were you when you figured out that you knew everything?
