I support him too but more as a protest vote.
Trump has policies?? First I’ve heard of it. Mostly he seems to have bumper stickers with delusions of grandeur.
I ideally want world currency. You see when an American does some discretionary spending like buying an expensive car or phone, world GDP goes up, when with that same effort (that went into making the car or the phone), you can make a huge difference to lives of many in some poorer country, but it won’t increase the GDP as much. So, the priorities are wrong at the moment.
So you are quite right, supporting Trump even as a protest vote!!
Delete “specific” from that and you might have something approaching a point.
One of my favorite bullet points from Hillary’s website is:
End secret, unaccountable money in politics.
Ha. Haha. Hahaha. Hahahaha. Hahahahaha.
You clearly are not paying attention. His “specific” idea is to Make America Great Again!! His supporters don’t need to get bogged down with details.
This post was very confusing to me. I gather that you want to help poor people in developing countries, and that you’d rather people do that than buy cars, and that the effort we currently put into making cars and phones be diverted to helping poor people in developing countries. Could you explain what the first sentence has to do with any of that? Are you saying that switching to “world currency” would help / be an important component of the help-poor-people-rather-than-buy-cars plan?
This is Trump’s stance on foreign aid. I encourage you to flip through the slides and point out what makes you believe Trump is inclined to share your views on global currency or improving the lot of poor people outside of America’s borders.
What are you protesting?
Its application is actually more like “Make America Hate Again!”.
Hit ‘em with the ol’ ad hominem! Well played!
after having a world currency, you can do anything you want, like giving free money to poor people which nobody(neither people nor governments) has to ever re-pay.
Above won’t happen with Trump as president.
Thing I like about Trump is he doesn’t care about petrodollar(which is main reason why dollar is valued so high). He actually wants a lower dollar so that American goods and services can also be competitively priced.
Name one coherent policy Trump has outlined. One.
it was hard for me earlier in the year, given that while I did like the Clintons’ first presidency, and generally, I agree with Democrats on most things, there are some points of disagreement, sometimes a little, sometimes vehement I’ve started having with them, particularly Obama.
But Trump channeling Charles Lindbergh with this “America First” aka let Russia/China run the world instead of America, as well as Max Boot, Bob Kagan, and Mark Salter all endorsing Hillary, have pushed me firmly into Hillary’s camp.
I’ll express my discontent with some of Obama’s stuff with my Congressional vote. POTUS is to important for America to retreat to defeat.
Is this a serious post? He has seven positions outlined right on his website. This isn’t secret cloak-and-dagger stuff.

[li]pay for the wall[/li][li]healthcare reform[/li][li]U.S. - China trade reform[/li][li]Veterans Administration reforms[/li][li]tax reform[/li][li]Second Amendment rights[/li][li]immigration reform[/li][/ol]
Taking just the two that I find most appealing, I see a lot of “coherence” in his policy positions:
He opposes additional gun control. No to assault weapon bans, no to magazine capacity limits, no to universal background checks. Make concealed carry permits honored in all 50 states, like driver’s licenses. And allow soldiers to carry weapons to defend themselves on bases and at recruiting centers.
On taxes, his website goes into quite a bit of detail, but it’s basically Republican-ish ideas packaged together: lower corporate rate, simplified brackets, no more AMT or “death tax”, if you’re single and don’t make more than $25k, you pay no income tax. Why should that not considered a “coherent policy”?
Please. “We’re gonna build a wall and Mexico will pay for it” is not a coherent policy. The other “policies” in that list are just bumper stickers.
But are they Scotsman?
OK I’m listening. What SPECIFIC & REALISTIC policies has Donald Trump proposed that will achieve his goal to Make America Great again?
What I have heard is that he will build a wall to keep the Mexican rapists and drug dealers from entering the country. That is certainly specific, but not at all realistic since he will never get Congressional support.
He also says he will “bomb the shit out of the oil fields” . Again, specific but not realistic.
Other than that he just vaguely promises that he will Make America Great Again!! Possibly realistic, but not at all specific. Please enlighten me!
He is not running for King, he is running for President. A President of the USA must get cooperation from Congress in order to do the things he is proposing. Do you sincerely believe that he will get Congressional support for these cockamamie ideas?
Yes, I have little doubt that if he wins the Presidency, he’ll have lots of support in Congress to oppose any new gun control efforts. At the very least, there’d be enough pro-RKBA Republicans to uphold any veto against new gun control measures. Will he get national reciprocity? I don’t know, but it’s certainly a realistic possibility. S. 498 has 34 co-sponsors in the Senate. The companion bill (H.R. 402) in the House has 100 co-sponsors. It’s far more likely that national reciprocity passes than a federal assault weapons ban.
ETA: as for allowing CCW on bases and at recruiting centers, my understanding is he would not need Congressional approval for this. He could just give an executive order to allow it.
