Who said I was voting for Trump? I just pointed out your petty insult.
But to answer the above: after watching his interviews and the debate, he intends to make Mexico pay for the wall. If they don’t pay outright then he says they will through trade tariffs and new visa fees. He also has suggested a few strong arm tactics: a ban on certain remittance avenues such wire transfers and cancelling visas.
Mexico is not going to agree to pay for the wall. And more importantly the US Congress would never support building a wall as it is totally unAmerican and xenophobic. Again, even if he wins, which I think is a very real possibility, he will not get Congressional support to build a wall along the US/Mexico border or any of the other silly ideas he is propositioning.
You have got to be kidding. You realize there’s already large sections of wall and massive security on the border already, right? Building a continuous big wall is stupid for a bunch of reasons but the idea that Congress would never support it because it’s “unAmerican and xenophobic” is laughable.
I think Congress would support a completely militarized border–soldiers lined up all along the roughly 2000 miles of border. But building a multi-billion dollar WALL? And getting Mexico to pay?? Sorry, not buying it
A wall is permanent. A militarized border is a temporary solution to address (hopefully fleeting) issues between 2 countries. That is how I see it anyway. Interesting to hear from people who see it so very very differently.
How many soldiers are there in a 2,000-mile line? And how long can that number be maintained on continuous sentry duty in the desert, for a billion dollars?
Nothing to it. Simply let it be known that undocumented immigrants can show their prospective loyalty by volunteering for the Border Defense Force. Not any promise of citizenship, but at least legal status, full-time work. Not at the wages we might offer a citizen, of course, but modest benefits. Chief of which would be not being deported.
"Donald Trump has now grown his lead over Hillary Clinton in Rasmussen Reports’ first weekly White House Watch survey.
Trump earns 42% support to Clinton’s 37% when Likely U.S. Voters are asked whom they would vote for if the presidential election were held today. But Rasmussen Reports’ latest national telephone survey finds that 13% prefer some other candidate, while seven percent (7%) are undecided."
The West Bank barrier is not “unIsraeli” and xenophobic. It’s an effective measure against terror and suicide bombings, which have dropped dramatically since it’s construction began.
A border wall is not xenophobic. The very definition of xenophobia is an irrational fear of people from other countries. There is nothing irrational about wanting to protect our citizens from widespread drug violence, murder, rape.
our indian poster has a very poor knowledge of the economics and has many fantasy ideas about economics at the national and international levels.
For example:
He has shown in a thread on the gold standard he does not understand the concept of money, or the monetary policy issues, and confuses money with wealth.
The “other candidate” is just as likely to be Gary Johnson as Bernie Sanders. Johnson scored 11% in the last poll where voters were able to choose him specifically.
Gary Johnson is going to get what the morally bankrupt Libertarian Party always gets- somewhat less than 1% of the vote. You’re seeing an anomaly in that Fox asked about those 3 candidates and very likely a lot of Bernie supporters said Johnson just because they’re pissed and a lot of people who currently profess not to be happy with the Clinton v Trump choice took what was given as another option. If they had asked Clinton-Trump-Satan, Satan would have gotten around 10%.
Why do you always seem angry and agitated bro? Does your life depend on stopping Trump from becoming president? And no, Islam is not like other religions at all which can co-exist peacefully. Its a poison.
It might help to explain the world currency comment. How would that free up governments’ ability to just give money away? Take it down a step- most of Europe has one currency. Does that mean that within Europe, governments are giving things away with no intention of paying for them?
