So it was someone in the white house military office (never heard of it) who made a decision so stupid that it looked like something Trump would do. Cool. I hope they have lots of “Ain’t We Proud Of Ourselves?” medals to pass around.

They are not denying that they ever used the tarp. They’re just saying the tarp wasn’t up during the President’s visit. Someone could have put it up, then someone else ordered them to take it off.
