How convenient it was that the crew of the USS McCain were given the day off.
The ship has not been at sea since August 2017 due to a large collision at sea so I would guess now the crew is just doing training and possibly maintenance. 10 sailors were killed in the collision.
Trump only hires the best people!
It was a holiday weekend and the McCain crew wasn’t the only one with the day off, the USS Stethem also had the day off. So it wasn’t that suspicious.
Though now I wonder if for some reason Trump didn’t care for Robert Stethem. Maybe he prefers heroes that kill terrorists rather than the other way around.
Stolen from twitter:
How any veterans can stomach, much less support, Disposable Donald bewilders me. Differences in party and points of view notwithstanding, I had and have admiration and respect for Senator McCain and am offended by his treatment by our Asshole in Chief. I’m surprised that Trump has not yet sent the Bush family a bill (with interest and penalties due) for the plane from which George H.W. parachuted. I’m sure Trump only likes “heroes” that land their planes.
I don’t understand how the Journal “obtained a copy of an email from an official with the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command” but doesn’t know who the email is from. All military email has the sender’s full name and rank right in the From: line.
Military Person 1 sends email to Military Person 2.
Military Person 2 sends the email to the Journal with the original sender’s email address/name removed.
Just one possible explanation.
While you can do a custom stamp with a picture on it, I believe the policy of the USPS is that the person honored be dead at least 5 years. Would be nice if he became eligible in June, 2024.
