Trump will probably be President, now what?

But he will have Congress.

He has a Treasury to play with.

Unless the republicans abolish the filibuster. We will see what happens.

The House is full of Tea Party Republicans who think much the same way Trump does. Republicans will have a majority in the Senate, and they could easily change the rules and take away the filibuster power from Democrats.

His foreign policy advisors are big time scary, while he shows some hopeful inclinations, but is still pretty bad.

Have you seen the dumbfucks we have in congress these days?

There’s a hardcore conspiracy theorist at work who has been crowing on about “Agenda 21”, the 9/11 “inside job” conspiracy, and is absolutely convinced that Hillary was “preselected to win, years ago”…

He’s not a bad guy, just has some wacky ideas and loves conspiracy theories*…

Assuming trump wins, I can’t wait to see his rationalization of the trump win and how it fits into his CT…

*a few months back, I made up, on the fly, a “CT” of how Lyme disease was actually a governmental plot to reduce the rural population because rural types are suspicious of government, and more metro-urban areas have people who are easier for the government to control, he enthusiastically fell for it hook, line, and sinker…

I wonder when Trump will start taking revenge.

I agree. Four years of temper tantrums from Trump and his supporters as each of their promises crashes up against the courts and Congress. Wait til they realize that they can’t “lock her up” because she hasn’t even been charged with a crime, and never will be.

Berlusconi didn’t run the world’s largest economy and biggest military.

What do you mean? California, Oregon and Washington were always going to go to Clinton. That was built into everyone’s prediction models.

My first issue is if I try to get out of the market as it drops and take the 10 to 20% loss I will have by the time I can sell or try to wait out the crash that I expect to happen.

Also my own selfish interests the flushing of Obamacare and pretty much everything that Obama accomplished will make the healthcare industry a complete mess.

Practical side - Trump will delegate to Pence, who is an extreme religious conservative. The court will be stacked with his choices. Ryan on tax policies.

Progress on climate change accords is out the window and seriously our planet is fucked.

To my future grandkids - I am sorry.

Yeah climate change is what I am worried about the most. If our global civilization collapses a hundred years from now, and people look back and wonder how it could possibly have happened, they may identify this moment as the turning point.

I’m 17 years old and applying to colleges. Just added McGill to the list.

Searching for Lessons in Icelandic, booking tickets to Reykjavik.

Takk.

What kind of country are we? What kind of place did I bring children into?

Praise God may I be at ground zero when that happens.

I have faith that our system can survive a Trump presidency. I still think he doesn’t really want the job and will basically coast. Let’s hope the bureaucracy can keep things running relatively smoothly.

So, just what went wrong with Hillary? Was she really that shitty of a candidate?

Yes. On a national level, yes. She’s never been good.
