Trump's health

Trump and his associates seem to recently been pushing the Clinton heath meme pretty hard.

Lots of innuendo, and baseless speculation from the usual suspects.

I really wonder if this move of Trump’s indicates that his own health is in some doubt. All we have is a weirdly written letter from a doctor with some odd bragging statements. (Trump Would ‘Be the Healthiest Individual Ever Elected to the Presidency’) Sounds like Trump wrote this himself. We don’t have any real medical records from Trump. We do have some indication that he has been on medications in the past that affected his behavior.

I think that Trump’s health is likely a bit problematic, and he’s trying to get ahead of the curve by accusing Clinton of health issues first. It’s a tried and true Rovian tactic.

I think it’s more a sign of desperation than an actual cover-up. Clinton and Trump are probably both in good general health for their age and neither has any specific medical concerns. Which means it’s a null issue; neither of them can make an issue out of merely being old without it coming back at them.

But Trump’s reached the point where he doesn’t have any better options. When you’re already losing, you might as well try anything and hope for a miracle.

He’s not trying to get ahead of the curve. It has already been suggested that Trump is delusional and very unstable. He is merely using the current GOP meme, I know you are, but what am I?

Still, it was Rove who pushed the “traumatic brain injury” story, not Trump.

Well, he looks healthy. Not.

I’ve been seeing it crop up more lately from Trump surrogates, and on-line posters with no history (paid, I suspect). It’s certainly something that is being pushed. Little Nemo is likely correct; it smells of desperation.

Well you know Trump says he’s healthy but some people are saying that he used to visit Joseph Greenberg regularly, the notorious supplier of amphetamine diet pills to the elite of NY. Now, Smart people, they tell me that “long-term use … can lead to psychosis—delusions of grandeur, say, like the belief that by simply putting your name on real estate properties, you will double their value.” Some people have seen the medical records and they say that Trump was a visitor to Joseph Greenberg for many years, more than enough time to build up permanent side effects. Now I’m not a doctor but I’ve heard these side effects would be much more damaging than a mild concussion… You draw your own conclusion

The steady diet of McDonald’s, Kentucky Fried Chicken, and cheap amphetamines can’t be doing the ol’ ticker much good.

I’ve heard that if you eat KFC with a knife and fork, it’s much healthier for you…

Good thing he doesn’t have a heart.

Now, now, it’s not like he’s Darth Cheney.

Here is his health report !

Don’t forget-- *always *with a side of fries.

Doesn’t he look tired?

Nah, wrong continent.

No, I can’t imagine either side’s, eh, “youth and inexperience” will be an issue in this campaign: The Clinton camp has more to work with and the Trump camp is too incompetent to actually pull it off.

Pretenduate! I loved that shit, though my doc only let me take it for three months. What was that side effect? “An artificial sense of well-being.” I take my sense of well-being where I can get it.

This. We don’t have his tax records and we don’t have any real medical records. Apply Trump’s razor: assume the stupidest explanation consistent with the available facts. Trump is probably on stimulants (diet pills) which partly explains his erratic behavior. He probably has undisclosed medical conditions. He is after all 70 years old.

To review, here’s the first paragraph of the Onionesque medical letter.

I have been the personal physician of Mr. Donald J Trump since 1980. His previous physician was my father, Dr. Jacob Bornstein. Over the past 39 years, I am pleased to report that Mr. Trump has had no significant medical problems. Mr Trump has had a recent complete medical examination that showed only positive results. Actually his blood pressure, 110/65, and laboratory test results were astonishingly excellent.

Only positive results to lab tests? Sounds like a bad thing, technically. Astonishingly excellent? Real physicians don’t write that way. Daily Beast: “Donald Trump’s doctor released a medical report so silly that when we asked the American Medical Association about its language, their spokesman started to laugh.”

Blood pressure 110/65? Yeah, right.

Also, 1980 was only 36 years ago, not 39.

Did they mention whether Trump takes bp medicine? If so, that number is very believable.

Honestly I mean women tend to outlive men and everything, but to me Hillary looks physically very frail, it looks like she needs help walking up stairs. She’s had a concussion and I think it was a blood clot between her skull and brain. I mean you can’t obviously know somebody’s health from a glance but to me Trump “looks” healthier compared to Hillary, also supposedly he doesn’t drink or smoke.
