Very well, I will dig up my password and change it. But did you bother to read all of my very brief post. How about the part where I wrote that I changed it when I renewed.

Yes! My e-mail! What part of that do you, or the unobservant mods, makes no sense to you!
The mods have no access to renewal information. None. Zip. Nada. Zilch. That’s been made clear in, oh, about 2,423,643 different threads over the last 15 months. In order to change your email, you must do it through the User Control Panel. Hope that helped, for I shan’t bother dealing with you any more.

I have just attempted to change my email through USER CP. It was not successfull. Apparently, my password is no longer valid (I assume a new one was sent to my old email when I renewed). Did I mention that I sent the webmaster an email about this in the past. To This Year’s Model, and Tubadiva, thanks. You gave me information I could use. I will email you Tubadiva. The rest of you should be trying to help instead of being…sorry, this ain’t the pit. The rest of you, go back to the pit.
I renewed later than the deadline. My name was still there. I could still read posts. The top left of of the screen still said “Welcome, Road Rash.” I got a new email. When I renewed, I put my new email. For good reasons, the databases are seperated. But when someone is renewing with a lapsed subscription, with a new email, there should be a courtesy email to the new address.
Tubadiva, we have sent personal emails to each other about board related topics in the past. That I posted it in ATMB says that I have made good faith attempts, but have not succeeded.
Update, for those who are interested. I just emailed TubaDiva this letter, after attempting once again to obtain a password to edit my profile.
Now I am really puzzled! I get an email from The Straight Dope webmaster, giving me a link to change my password. I link, and guess what it asks for? My email. Why, since the source of the email is clear is a little puzzling, unless I am at work or another computer. I submit my current email, and get this message (the same one): “You have not entered an email address that we recognise.” Please try again or contact the…" The SDMB has my email address to send me a password, yet my old email is still on my profile, creating a strange loop which I can not escape.
