Trying to find a way to directly contact the creators of "Timeless History"

There’s a YouTube channel called “Timeless History” that gives little videos about the history of amusement parks and the like. Actually, there are several sites with that name, but the one I’m writing about is this one:

One of their videos is about Revere Beach, MA, and has a lot about Wonderland Amusement Park, which I’ve written a book about.

It annoys me that a lot of the images they show aren’t of what they’re purportedly talking about. Most of the Wonderland images aren’t of Wonderland. A lot of the Revere Beach images aren’t even of Revere Beach. One image is clearly from Steubenville, Ohio. I’ve come to expect that from YouTube history videos, especially when they can’t find moving images of what they’re talking about. But they’re doing this with still images, as well.

More annoying to me is that they’re getting their facts blatantly wrong. Wonderland built by someone named Blake? Fire and Flames as the Center of attraction of the Park? Wonderland closing in 1911?

The problem is, I don’t know who makes these. The comments section is disabled. But surely some Doper can ferret out the culprits and find a way to directly contact them.

There is a huge amount of AI generated content on Youtube now and I think it is likely that this is what you have found.

Go through the videos and look at the production history. I think you will probably find a large number produced in a very short time. Then consider how fast a human being could produce these videos: one a week maybe?

See:

I have to ask: why would they care? They’ve baited their clicks (including yours). Mission Accomplished.

You would think there would be a generic way to contact any YouTube channel owner, but if so I don’t see one for this channel. There is a report option, but the YouTube overlords are not going to care unless there is copyright violation or otherwise illegal content.

The website in the OP has 96 videos, most of which have fewer than ten views, or less than 2,000 views in total. That’s tiny and honestly, not worth taking any trouble.

And being objectively wrong, historically speaking, doesn’t qualify, unfortunately.

You could try clicking on the “community” button near the top. It looks like you’d be able to make comments on that page if you subscribe.

Also, there’s about 15 other Timeless History pages that, based on nothing other than the channel thumbnail, appear to be related. You could try seeing if any of those allow comments or have contact info. Otherwise, I’d just ignore it.

I’m not sure what you’re seeing, but it doesn’t look like the comments are turned off. I didn’t try making a comment on that video, but it does appear I have the option.

Comments are turned on for the Revere video (39 views - no comments) for me. I think you just need to be logged into Google Chrome or YouTube.

I’m recalling a similar event several weks ago when I was equally outraged by a video about Wonderland Amusement Park in Revere, either by the same people, or a similar group. It, too, outrageously got its fcts wrong, but when I tried to comment on the site I couldn’t – comments had been disabled. I didn’t even try this ttime, figuring that the situation was the same.
