She has owned up to what she did, I am confident that she’ll not put the Chicago Reader or this board in the same position again, so that’s it as far as I’m concerned.

I did just realize that blue has been around for about a week and a half and has posted on a range of other topics, so my first suspicion was probably unfounded. I’m still baffled that someone who’s been posting for less than two weeks is this concerned about events that transpired a month ago; the fact that I’m not getting a straight answer to my question leads me to think that the straight answer would be very unflattering to Blue.

I’m not surprised one little bit. Any member would be out on their ass without a second’s thought. She would have been the one to do it. People have been banned for all kinds of shite some of the reasons are very poor IMO and Tuba was at the front of these.
At the end of the day we can do fuck all apart from stopping giving them money and moving on which is what I’m doing.
These threads(especially this one) are beyond pointless. Say it under your own name or not at all. The OP is either a sock or a banned poster. I most likely agree with you but that doesn’t change the fact that posting as a guest on something like this is just plain dumb and most likely counterproductive as this thread will almost certainly be closed down.
Had I started this topic, it could likely be me being accused of being a sock - I’m a “new member” with less than 50 posts to my name. However, I’ve been reading here since 2000, give or take a month or two. I remember Wild Bill, “Gotchaya!” and various other scandals and tempests in teapots. Just because someone doesn’t have a thousand or more postcount beside their name doesn’t mean they’re “new”, or that they don’t have a full understanding of “dope” issues, or that their opinion is any less valid than yours.
Oh, and I think Tuba should resign as administrator. But feel free to disregard my opinion because I’m “new”. :rolleyes:
How do I feel? I feel goddamed glad I don’t have any identifying personal information anywhere on the internet. I do wish that variants of CatLady weren’t so incredibly common as screen names, though. Lord knows what kind of damaging stuff is out there about some of those people, and if the claims that she didn’t have access to his personal info for comparison to the database are correct, she’s didn’t even bother to confirm that she was posting information about the right guy. I don’t intend to go pissing people off, so it’s not a big concern, but it shouldn’t have to be a concern at all.
