Hey, I’ve paid my $8, as if that grants our opinion special rights, and I thought what Tuba Diva did showed a rashness and poor decision making process that doesn’t suggest she should be a Mod/Admin.
I don’t know what else she has done that makes her so beloved or respected by other members, but I can’t recall her posting a lot, or maybe I’m just missing them, and I don’t understand why people would have objected to her being stripped of at least the Admin badge.
I wonder why all these posters who are soooo outraged don’t volunteer their time if they are so concerned about how the board is run & admins do their job…

Well, I’ve only been posting 3 months, but I did a search and the admin in question seems to have a nasty streak. That said, we the members have no say here, they do want they see fit regards to mods and admins. No skin off my nose.
Personally, I don’t see this board lasting forever, so lts just enjoy it while we can.

Anyway, I don’t think I contributed to any of the other threads concerning this issue, so I’ll toss in my two cents here. Tuba did bad. She knows it, we all know it, she owned up to it and I’m sure she’s going to make sure it won’t happen again. She’s only human, anyway; what she did was a mistake any one of us could have made. The admins/mods are not omnipotent.
I agree that it’s over and done with now, so let’s just let it go.
Like Switzerland, I shall remain neutral* in this and hope that it remains a civil discussion or gets punted to the Pit for the scheduled Trainwreck Du Jour.

Regardless, the irony of you accusing me of being in a selfrighteous lather pointing accusatory fingers is so fucking brilliant that I’ll grant you a pass on this. Tuba’s got a good heart-she’s always been willing to help me whenever I asked and I genuinely like her.
But I no longer have confidence in her ability to administer this board. And that makes me sad.
As for Blue Ruin, it’s no so much that anyone new is automatically looked down upon, but that we’ve recently had a rash of “guests” who right away start bitching about board practices, and previous problems. Almost all of them claim to have been “lurking forever”, and they seem to know this place inside and out. So it makes sense to be skeptical.
The whole thing is a tempest in a teapot.

And if your question implied that I was also posting under another handle, let me reiterate that accusations of sock puppetry are not allowed (unless they are against someone who says something negative about someone popular, it seems). I’m just fucking sick of the issue at this point. I wasn’t impressed with her “Yes I’m back” ATMB thread (didn’t even apologize :rolleyes:), but, eh, whatever. The drama teats of the TubaDiva incident have been milked dry and I’m comfortably indifferent.
(Well, she sort of apologized, but it was so qualified and detached from the person whom she harmed that it doesn’t really count in my book. But, once again, “meh.”)
