You’ve been in absolute hysterics over this for more than a month, happily padding your post count with one frenzied post after another about it. The board administration did do something about it, and it didn’t take them very long to do it.
Maybe, if you would stop foaming at the mouth, step away from the keyboard, and calm down, you might realize that it’s not so much that other people don’t care at all, it’s that they actually have lives away from the SDMB and so don’t take this as being the biblical injustice that you’ve convinced yourself it is.
How will this be resolved (if ever)? I think the sheer weight of this thread will probably at some point fall on Tubadiva and crush her into flatness, thereby resolving (almost)everything. :o
Or perhaps they just have an honest disagreement with your assessment of the manner, and have chosen to proceed in the manner that they regard as most desirable.
I spent some time thinking about this, and I came to the conclusion that there are very few people whose opinion about me would matter less than yours does.
It appears, from taking a quick look through her latest posts, that she is indeed at present behaving in a “humble” manner. How long that will last is anyone’s guess.
I don’t think it’s a huge flaming injustice, I just find it annoying that if this were a regular poster, he or she would be banned for good. Hell, I still feel bad that Euty got the shaft for something that was so much less.
Ironic, isn’t it? On the one hand, they often treat people with such incredible disdain and arrogance, acting as if they don’t give a shit; and in the next moment they’re scrambling to “fix” things with a bandaid cause they’re terrified of the backlash that might hurt their baby.
I don’t “not like you.” I don’t know you. I only have your posts on this message board to go by, and from my perspective, you screetch a lot without any kind of logical substance. Therefore, your opinion of me is of no concern to me.
Okay, but I think this basically demonstrates the difference between the two opposing “factions”: One group, based on their many years of experience here, is willing to give the admin/mods the benefit of the doubt. The other, based on their many years of experience, is not.
Who’s to say who’s right? I happen to think the people who run things here could use a big dose of humble pie; you obviously think they are doing fine just the way they are. We’ve both been here awhile, so who are you (and who am I) to say the other’s full of crap?

I don’t have the copies in my hand, no. However, any rational assessment of the situation tells you that these do exist. Think it through. Follow the situation as it developed and evaluate what had to be there, to get the results that followed.
So what does that have to do with the administration of this board? They can’t do anything about that. He could be lying on those other boards. Maybe he’s posting from Sing Sing. How can some SDMB admin change what happens on some other Web site?

I joined -partially- because of perceived comraderie. It’s false, I know, but it’s as real as any to be found IRL.

Actually, come to think of it, has nothing to to with TD specifically. More with general attitude. And those against the return of TD (speaking in wild generalizations) seem to be be the kind of people I avoid IRL.
And yup… still small and shrill is what I find in those calling for the ouster of TD. Especially on the part of Blue Rain / Blue ruin or whatever. At least I joined before criticizing others that joined. Hell, I was totally unaware of this entire topic until earlier today. Or was that yesterday? Whatever. To a noob like me, TD was the SDMB… not you. How many times is -your- name mentioned in any of the books?
