Reading the article it seems to me like less of an Oppo file and more of a documenting his offenses so that they can prove he was fired for cause. Basically a list of everything they gave him a pass on until now. I think this is probably pretty common, and is actually recommended practice. Think of it like the principal of the school presenting your “permanent record” when the explain why you are being expelled.
When I think Oppo research I think a more comprehensive pile of dirt that includes embarrassing information beyond the workplace, like pictures of him visiting a prostitute.

Not true at all. Glenn Beck has been more successful since he left Fox. He makes $20-$40 million a year from The Blaze, plus his radio show ( he got a five-year, $100 million contract for that), and speaking fees. His net worth is over $150 million.

Incidentally, Beck has offered Tucker a job on The Blaze. Probably for many millions per year.
O’Reilly hasn’t been as successful, but he has a top-100 podcast, has written several books, and has a website that gets about a million visitors per month. He probably also still gets speaking fees and whatnot.
Carlson has it made. He’s the kind of personality you can build a franchise around. That makes him incredibly valuable to media startups or insurgents looking to gain a mass audience. I expect a bidding war for him, and he’ll probably make more money than ever. Or maybe he’ll go the Beck route and try to start his own media empire. And his next book will make a fortune.
Carlson doesn’t need the money anyway. His father was already rich when he married into the Swanson food family. But Tucker earned his money, and has a net worth of $370 million. He doesn’t really need anyone.
I think he’s also older than Beck or Carlson by a good bit, and probably okay with winding down his media career a bit at this point.

Re fired FoxNews personalities making a lot of money, I think that’s unimportant. A more important question is whether their influence goes down, and I think it does.
