Yes, that may have had quite a bit to do with how come Fox got rid of him first. More than just the issues with the reporting itself, he went directly into acting like he should be calling the shots on how to run the business. Whatever its horrors, this is a private company, if he doesn’t like how management makes decisions, there’s the door.
Notice they did not give him the chance to get in a last word, which signals both parties pissed off at each other.
As to Tucker’s putative MAGA pseudo-alpha-ness… please. He is on record reneguing on His Orangeness, AND, hey, there’s that tape clip: this guy got run over on his own show by Jon f&^%$ Stewart and that was the end of Crossfire (the end should have been years before, but hey, CNN management ain’t such geniuses either).

I forget why Tan the Conman hates Fox now. After all, he hates so man people for a musical chairs marathon of reasons. Is the current hatred rooted in Fox daring to announce he lost an election in one state?
“Amicably”, no doubt, by mutual agreement. Just like the small misunderstanding with Dominion was settled amicably, for some monetary sum not worth mentioning. Very amicable, those nice folks at Fox.
As happy as this news makes me I don’t think this is the end of TC by a long shot. I seriously doubt he will make a run for office beyond a House or maybe Senate seat. I can’t imagine why DJT would consider him as a running mate once he locks up the 2024 GOP nomination and I see no way TC would stand a chance in the GOP primary for POTUS.
However, I don’t discount the ability of opportunistic trash like TC to reinvent and reboot themselves. He has had successful runs on CNN, PBS, FOX and lest we forget 3 years on MSNBC ('05-'08) with his show Tucker which featured panelists that included the dreaded Rachel Maddow (!!!). He’s always been conservative and quite the capital A asshole but it wasn’t until his FOX years that his really nasty tendencies emerged.
He’ll be back somewhere before too long.
I would not be at all surprised if he got the “security guard walks you to the parking lot with a box of your stuff” treatment.
This is an interesting problem that Fox is getting into now. The same one that eventually caused major headaches for their spiritual godfather, Josef Goebbels.
Their narrative is now getting so far afield from reality that their timeline needs ever more retcons and patches to hold together versus the portions of real reality that are simply to big for them or their followers to ignore. Big frame jumps in real life are harder to write off than those in MMORPGs
As in post-Nov 2020, they had to admit that Biden won; there was no way to stage a fake Trump inauguration to keep the series continuity alive. And now, 2-1/2 years later, we see the cracks sown then finally leading to public avalanches.
As TC and others are shown the door and then pop up on competing media outlets of whatever tech, but all spouting their own version of Reactionary Right Hate-TV, Fox will lose control as the arbiter of Reactionary Right Post-Truth Truth.
I for one look forward to watching these morons twist on the end of a rope of their own making.
