TV Guide's 60 Best Shows - Which ones have you NOT seen?

TV Guide released this list in 2013.

Please indicate the shows of which you have not seen a single complete episode.
mmm

How about a link?

I’ve more than one episode of 23.

If you add the ones I’ve tested by rejected, add 5 more.

As lists like this go, it’s not bad. “Cultural impact and most enduring influence” means different than “best”, so the list seems fairly representative. I can’t think of any obvious omissions right now.

14 for me. Of note: The Sopranos, The X-Files, and Buffy.

Shows I’ve seen 2 episodes or less - The Wire, Mad Men, Lost, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, West Wing, American Idol

The Good Wife is the only one I’ve never seen an episode of at all.

Your Show of Shows I’ve only seen in the movie.

Just ‘at least one episode’, 41 of them.
Watched on a somewhat regular basis, or say, at least enough episodes to know the characters and premise probably only cuts it down to 30-35.

ETA, I did the poll wrong, I checked off all of them that I HAD seen at least one episode.

Mine were down at the bottom of the list and I was fair in that if I had seen an episode (or part of one) I counted it as having seen the show. If I had counted the one episode only group I could have added another group.

Of that group I actually followed for at least a few episodes (even in rerun mode) I’m guessing I’d have to list maybe 20 total. My favorites from the list would number maybe a dozen.

  1. A few I saw bits and pieces of (e.g, Carol Burnett), some I saw most of but not an entire shore (Letterman). I never watched the TV Gunsmoke, but I have listened to quite a few of the radio version. And a few shows I watched one and gave up.

Glaring omission. “The Fugitive”.

While I’ve actually seen an episode of the X files, I never watched the show. I was visiting friends who were huge fans, and I was forced to watch it. The idiocy still burns!

Similarly with Star Trek, I never made any effort to watch, but my husband loves it, so by default, like football, I’ve seen it. Same with Breaking Bad - one episode was more than enough for me.

I voted
8 of the list I have never seen

One I was unable to vote for was Friends. I’ve seen exactly one (1) episode. That was on a hotel TV in Kuala Lumpur in 1999. A local station was showing reruns every afternoon, and we watched one episode, then the TV blew up before the next afternoon. Really. There were no replacements to give us.

Wow, nearly one-third have never seen at all. Maybe ten more I saw one episode and one episode only.

Of the one-third, there are a few I hope to get around to binge-watching someday.

Yeah, not a bad list, compared to others.

I’ve seen 'em all, what do I get?

25 where I haven’t seen a single episode, almost all of the “before-my-time” variety. Most of the ones I have seen are one or two episodes only; it’s the kind of appeal-to-everyone list I’d expect from a website with the audience profile of TV Guide. It’s not a bad list, it’s just a really broad one, and overweight on stuff that people under 35 haven’t seen unless they’ve actively sought it out.

The only two that I’ve seen the entirety of are West Wing and Battlestar Galactica, though in sheer episode numbers I’ve probably seen more of TDS with Jon Stewart and Jeopardy! than anything else. Probably 25 are in the “well under a season, in a lot of cases just one random episode” variety.

I watch a lot of TV, just not this TV.

The idiocy still burns? Really?

45 that I’ve never seen a full episode of, but then I’m from the UK so perhaps no surprise.

I haven’t seen episodes of stuff from the 90’s on, other than The X-Files, The Sopranos, and Breaking Bad. Just not that much of a series watcher, I guess.

I noticed another…“The Prisoner”.
