TV jingles spread like a social disease!

Okay, here I go, I started a thread about this once and no one remembered this one:

Giant Lock Blocks
They come in a hundred pack
Giant Lock Blocks
A hundred pieces (something something)
Make craaaaaazy things
Whatever you’d like
When you play with Giant Lock Blocks
Click-clack click-clack
Yeah those Lock Blocks really stack!
Those Giant Lock Blocks!

I’ll be pleased if I’m not the only one to remember:

Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Zoology!

and the PSA that won’t leave my brain:

“YOU, ok? I learned it by watching you!”

Reading is Fundamental.

I’d like to teach the world to sing
In perfect harmony.
I’d like to buy the world a Coke
And keep it company.

It’s the real thing…

Who can forget…

My name is Barney and I’m here to say…
I love Fruity Pebbles in a major way!

Best. Rap. Ever.

I like the way you make me laugh,
I like the funny things you do,
You got a style that’s all your own,
I like the Sprite in you!

Strawberry Shortcake
Huckleberry Pie
Apple Dumplin’
and Blueberry Muffin!
…i had all those damn dolls…

It’s almost 10am on a Saturday morning and I’m somehow NOT watching the Crest commerical.

“Look! It’s the CAVITY CREEPS!”

“We. Make. Holesinteeth!”

Unreal.

Who remembers the latchkey PSAs starring Will E. Survive? I can’t remember how they started but I remember this bit:

“Will E. Survive? Will E. Survive??? WILL E. SURVIVE??”

Yeah! Will E. used his common sense.
Don’t panic, thats the key!
Go to a friend or neighbor’s
Find a safe place you can be.
Get to a phone, keep calling home
Until someone arrives.
Yeah, Will E. Survives!

I drink Dr Pepper, doncha know
It’s the original taste that I love so
And the taste is making Peppers
Everywhere I go!
I’m a Pepper
He’s a Pepper
She’s a Pepper
We’re all Peppers
Wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper, too?
I am stuck on Band-Aid
Cuz Band-Aid’s stuck on me!..

Even kids with chicken pox love hot dogs!
Armour hot dogs!!
The dog kids love to bite!

And how did we forget
Oh I wish I was an Oscar Meyer weiner…!

Mmm, no…it was “plaaaaaay”, which makes a lot more sense anyway. How would you stumble when you’re on your knees?

I submit:

Push the plunger down
Set the timer
Get the pieces in place, don’t be slow
With Perfection you’ve gotta (hmm hmm) fast,
(hmm hmm) fast,
Or the pieces pop out before you put in the last
And that’s Perfection!

The racy Juicy Fruit jingle:

“Get your skis shined up, grab a stick of Juicy Fruit,
the taste is gonna move ya,
take a sniff, pull it out,
the taste is gonna move ya, when you pop it in your mooouuuthhh!!!
Juicy Fruit, it’s gonna move ya,
chew a stick, it sticks right to ya,
Juicy Fruit, the taste, the taste, the taste is gonna move ya!!”

Oh. My. God.

Somebody was having a LOT of fun at the ad agency that day.

Ooey, goey, rich and chewy inside!
Golden cakey tender flakey outside!
Wrap the inside in the outside it’s so good darned tootin!
It’s the big Fig Newton!

Milk it does a body good.

(Pass it on.)

Darn it, I read all the way to the end of this thread hoping nobody’d posted that one yet, and you hadda go post it right at the bottom!

But you forgot the best part:

“Here’s the tricky part…”

Ah, Jonathan Winters in a fig suit…

“Fever!
It’s that crisp-y crunch!
Fever!
It’s that <dun dun dun>!
Fever!
Wow! Now I’ve got it!
Feeeeeveeeeeeeeeer!
We’ve got the fever for the flavour of a Pringles!
Fever!
Feeeeveeeer!”

Hey? Remember the Faygo song?

Comic books and rubber bands
Climbing to the tree top
Falling down and holding hands
Tricycles and Redpop
Pony rides and Sunday nights
Roller skates and yoyos
Fairy tales and snowball fights
Climbin’ through the window
Remember when you were a kid?
Well, part of you still is
And that’s why we make Faygo
Faaaaaygooo rememmmmbers
DOOoooo YooOooou Rememmmmber?

(The longer version had this verse…)

Flying kites and funny shoes
Easter eggs with speckles
ABCs and counting by twos
Washing off the freckles
Kissing a hurt to make it stop
Startin’ school in September
So many things you almost forgot
Tryin’ to remember
Remember when you were a kid?
Well, part of you still is
And that’s why we make Faygo
Faygo remembers
DoooOoo yooOooou rememmmmber?

Nasty soda – cute song.

And this is why I love Family Guy. Finally, my generation has its own satirist. I forget the episode, but Peter once told Brian that Lois has often been worried that he’ll fall in with a bad crowd. Cut to the Cavity Creeps marching across the landscape…and I almost fell out of my chair. “I didn’t even REMEMBER that commercial! McFarlane, you are a frickin’ genius!”

Okay, my submission: Muncha buncha muncha buncha muncha buncha muncha buncha Fritos go with lunch! Og help the kid who had Fritos in his lunch at my school.

I remember this quite clearly

but could never remember these

Big Mac, McDLT, a Quarter Pounder with some Cheese, Filet-o-Fish, a Hamburger, a Cheeseburger, a Happy Meal, McNuggets, tasty, golden French Fries: regular or larger sizes, Salad: Chef or Garden, or a Chicken Salad Oriental,

Big, Big Breakfast, Egg McMuffin, Hot, Hot Cakes and Sausage, maybe Biscuits: Bacon, Egg and Cheese, and Sausage, Danish, Hash Browns too,

and for dessert Hot Apple Pie, and Sundaes: three varieties, a Soft-Serve Cone, three kinds of Shakes, and Chocolate-y Chip Cookies,

and to drink a Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, and Orange Drink, a Sprite, and Coffee, Decaf too, a Lowfat Milk, also an Orange Juice,

I love McDonald’s. Good Time, Great Taste,
And I get this all in one place!

This might be obscure, it was really bad quality and played on PBS:
Have you hugged your kid today,
Did you tell them it’s okay?..

that’s all I can remember but the damn tune is still stuck with me.
