TV Show Go On

Am I the only person here that watches Go On? Last nights episode had some great lines. Lots of riffing on Sixteen Candles.
Matt P’s character:I just watched 16 candles last night. But that guy Long Duk Dong…what a horrible name! And they had gong every time they said it! How did we not know that was bad?
Stephen Cho’s character: Oh some of us did.

(Stephen Cho is Harold from the Harold and Kumar movies)

The Mrs and I watch and enjoy it. I haven’t seen last night’s episode yet, but a couple of days ago we watched the previous episode on DVR, and I wasn’t in a good mood. I laughed out loud several times, which is unusual for me even in a good mood.

John Cho.

We watch it but it’s good, not great. The Sixteen Candles references were good, as was Mr. K’s Julie Andrews riffs - both Maria from Sound of Music and Mary Poppins.

I watch it! I think the other group members are hilarious! And I also think Matthew Perry is pretty good.

Oh and so is Terell Owens

We enjoy it enormously. It’s a great vehicle for Matthew Perry, and the rest of the cast is a great deal of fun.

How did I miss it? I usually scan for that and record it but I must have missed it last night. I enjoy the show. I’m not sure it will last but I enjoy all of the different support group attendees.

It’s getting better every week, although I did like it from the first episode. With so many holes in the NBC schedule, I hope it gets picked up because I think it could really develop into something REALLY good.

You know what’s so sad, I looked his name up to get it right…and still messed it up! :smack:

I liked the premiere, but I quit when it seemed to get stupid. I remember the exact moment - Perry and Cho were at the blind guy’s place and he was showing them a memento (a game ball from a pro basketball game) and the Lucite case was empty, but they pretended to admire it. That was Three’s Company level humor, and I bailed.

As the out-of-touch BBC administrator asked, back in the 1950s, “What is this Go on Show?”

Sit com with Matthew Perry as a recently-widowed sports radio personality who joins a support group. “Go On” is a double entendre - go on with your life, and in the group setting go on with what you were saying…

I’d never seen it before but I caught the show the other night, and at the “Some of us did”, I looked up, hoping the actor was Gedde Wanatabe, but alas, it was not.
OHH, SEXY GIRLFRIEND!

I like the show, but usually have to wait until the weekends to get to watching it.
