TV shows we MUST have on DVD

A second for The Adventure of Brisco County, Jr.

And I want full-season sets of the animated *Justice League * and Justice League Unlimited (I know this one’s in the middle of its first season, but I want it collected stat) series.

And Newsradio, dammit!

Hear hear.

And even though this program contained so many copyright violations it would be impossible to release on DVD, I still pine for Cartoon Planet on something better than mid-grade VCD.

I could swear I saw WKRP in the local Best Buy, but according to Amazon, it’s never been released. I’ll check it out when I go to buy Star Wars tomorrow and report back.

I would love to see Brisco County, I only caught a few episodes of the show and always wished I’d managed to see more.

I remember reading somewhere recently on the boards that Moonlighting was forthcoming, but Amazon is again quiet on the subject.

And I’m all for Due South and Lois and Clark.

Undeclared (weren’t there a few episodes that they never aired? or they aired out of order?)

I vote for:
[ul]
[li]St. Elsewhere[/li][li]WKRP[/li][li]Night Court[/li][li]Fame[/li][li]Family Ties[/li][li]Wings[/li][/ul]

Malcolm in the Middle seasons 2 and up. Doesn’t look good. :frowning:

Scrubs, which will be released sometime next yr according to star Zach Braff.

I just finished ripping my old copies of this show onto DVD. This should almost guarantee it’ll be released soon.

A few episodes were available on VHS, but I’ve never seen them on DVD. When they are (as they must someday be), I’ll be among the first in line.

And if they’re released the same day as Night Court; well, look out!

A big stumbling block with WKRP will be music licensing. When the show went into general syndication, a lot of “real” music played on the show was replaced by “generic rock”.

Rocko’s Modern Life.

Now that Freaks and Geeks has been released on DVD, there is one and only one TV Series on which Hollywood should be working feverishly in order to release, to the exclusion of all others:

Action, starring Jay Mohr and Illeana Douglas.

Oh, you guys wanting NewsRadio on DVD? Seasons 1 and 2.

I want it, too.

Oh, wait – I know another TV series that I’m sure everyoneelse in the whole world wants to see on DVD:
Logan’s Run – the TV series (from 1977)

What mere mortal could resist a show whose theme song sounded like the disco version of Princess Leia’s theme?

Newsradio
*The Dukes of Hazzard * (hey, allow me a little indulgence from my childhood!)

The Wonder Years - there’s a crappy Best of out, but for the European market, there isn’t even a DVD.
I wonder if music licenses play a part too.

Daria
Hill Street Blues
The Paper Chase

Arrested Development
Hill Street Blues
St. Elsewhere
WKRP

WKRP is not likely to ever appear on DVD, due to the huge expense that would be involved in licensing all the music that was played on that show.

Of course, I would settle for a single DVD, filled entirely with Bailey Quarters scenes.

Twin Peaks season 2
The Tick (animated)
The complete and total MST3K (I can dream)
Wonder Woman seasons 2&3 (for the sake of completion)
Wolf Lake
The Judy Garland Show in its entirety, instead of the overpriced piecemeal sets Sid Luft tosses out every so often
All the various incarnations of all the Marvel superhero cartoons dating back to the 60s

Hey, I can still sing the theme song! From memory!

believe it or not my mother dear
decided she’d come back
as a caaaaar!
She’s my very own guiding star!

Anyway, how about Time Tunnel?
