OMg I forgot Roswell, I loved that show soo much, was really pissed when it got dropped.
**Mystery Science Theater 3000 **
Fawlty Towers
Nero Wolfe (the new A&E one)
The X-Files (back when it was fun)
Monster Vision with Joe Bob Briggs
The Adventures of Brisco County Jr
Besides recently ended shows like X-files, Buffy, Felicity, John Doe, Dawson’s Creek, 2 Guys and a Girl, Norm, Batman Beyond and Roswell…
Herman’s Head (unfortunately my desire to tape everything didn’t surface until later)
Party of Five (why the heck isn’t this in syndication or on DVD?)
Eerie, Indiana (ohhh a dvd with three eps, how exciting)
Sisters (Mom and I were loyal fans)
Picket Fences (nice of TBS to show season one, then drop it recently)
15 (I think noggin/The_N should air this)
The guy did amazing stuff and they still needed to embellish it. Sad.
Dynasty and Melrose Place
Another vote for Police Squad.
- Family Guy
Oh. Farscape, Farscape, Farscape.
Soap and Sliders are two shows that I would like to see more of the original episodes instead of what they became later on.
Tales of the Gold Monkey, Police Squad and Herman’s Head were shows that never got the ratings they really deserved.
Personally, I really miss Lexx. I was only able to watch it regularly about the last 10 episodes or so.
Or they could use its original title, “Toast of the Town.” … Maybe not.
I’ll back SOAP, The Tick (animated), The Greatest American Hero and Andy Richter which was cancelled. Guess which theme song is now stuck in my head.
I miss Get Smart. Kick off Cheers or Cosby from Nick at Nite, both grossly overplayed, and give me Smart. And then Green Acres after that.
Although be careful what you wish for. New Dexter’s Labs are so far below the classic episodes and yet they still continue to take up more and more replay space. About half the time I can’t watch Dexter because it’s one of those new fangled ones.
McGyver and Get Smart! both currently air on TV Land. McG at 12 pm and 11 pm Central time. GS is on early in the morning, like 7 am Central. You might want to double check TV Land’s website or your local listings to make sure.
“The Critic”… the half-hour cartoon which featured the voice of Jon Lovitz as a cranky film critic who thought “it stinks”. What I miss about this show was the great parodies and in-jokes on the film industry!
Twin Peaks
Dukes of Hazzard
Dallas (what a great Friday combo- Dukes and Dallas)
Quantum Leap
There’s still one on the “good SF shows Fox cancelled after one season” list that no one has mentioned: VR.5. Virtual reality, secret societies, evil conspiracies, and David McCallum. What’s not to like? A very weird, very cool show. One episode included a spoof of The Avengers that was classic.
Speaking of which . . . I miss The Avengers too. Thank goodness for DVD!
Oh, and I have to add my name to the list of Brisco County fans who still weep with the thought that we will never see more adventures of Brisco and Bowler.
