I haven’t watched any primetime or series shows in the last 10 years or more.
However, I’m trying to remedy that and watch the best of those on dvd now. I’ve gotten as far as Six Feet Under, Firefly, Arrested Development (currently watching), and plan to watch on dvd: Battlestar Gallactica, Veronica Mars, Wonderfalls, Freaks and Geeks, House, Lost, La Femme Nikita, Scrubs, Monk, Alias, The Wire, Dead Like Me).
I like to read in the evenings, not watch tv.
I don’t watch a whole lot of things, but I’ll just mention The Simpsons. I don’t watch them because they’re so damn ugly. When they first appeared on TV I was working in a depressing and bleak corner of Van Nuys. People would urge me to watch The Simpsons and I would say to them, I’m already spending 48 hours a week and more at the corner of Woodman and Saticoy. I’ve already got enough ugliness in my life without making an effort to watch more. But when fortune smiled on me and I got jobs in nicer areas, I found that I still wasn’t very interested in watching the show.
Which is too bad, because I know it’s a good show with some very talented writing. I’d rather just have a fan tell me about the last great episode.

I never saw any episodes of Friends, The Simpsons, any reality show (except one episode of a show where they try to lose weight that my wife was watching), Seinfeld, etc.
