TV Sidekick Hall of fame

Inspired by this thread, who do you think the best sidemen from tv history are?

Some obvious choices:

Ethel Mertz - “I Love Lucy”
Ed Norton - “the Honeymooners”
Maynard G. Krebbs - “the Many Loves of Dobie Gillis”
Emma Peel - “the Avengers”
Robin / Dick Grayson - “Batman”
Agent 99 - “Get Smart”
Tattoo - “Fantasy Island”
Gabrielle - “Xena, Warrior Princess”
Patsy Stone - “Absolutely Fabulous”
Xander Harris - “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”

Bruce Lee as Kato.

Kato…The Green Hornet

Kato: “The Green Hornet”

Played by none other than Bruce Lee!

Wow! seems like I wasn’t alone!

Kelly Robinson/Alexander Scott “I Spy”

Harumph. I wouldn’t call the celestial Mrs. Emma Peel a “sidekick.”

Lamont Sanford - "Sanford & Son
Sharona Fleming - “Monk

Diane - Twin Peaks

LOl. I have never been part of a triple simulpost before.

Patrick Star, Spongebob Squarepants
Carl, The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron

Despite being one of the very best female crimefighters ever to appear on tv, she was (by the series’ own description) “a talented amateur” assistant to the professional secret agent John Steed. Steed also was the star of the show, and had other assistants before & after Mrs. Peel. Thus in the strictest sense, she is a sidekick.

Bill Gannon, Dragnet

Miss Hathaway

Barney Fife

Eddie Haskell

George Costanza

Tonto?

Cpl. Agarn–"F Troop"Newton the Centaur–“Adventures of Hercules” cartoons Oswald & Louis–“Drew Carey Show”

ouch!

I cant believe I couldn’t come up with Agarn (aka Larry Storch). Thats right in my wheelhouse.

Mr. Spock

Yes—first one I thought of.

Al Borland - “Home Improvement”
Vanna White - “Wheel of Fortune”
Andy Richter - “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”
Garth Algar - “Wayne’s World”
Chumley the Walrus - “Tennessee Tuxedo”

My favorite sidekick of all time is Illya Kuryakin of The Man from U.N.C.L.E., played by the yummy David McCallum.
