TV time makes some sexist observations

That’s the nicest thing anyone has said about me in years.

TV

A lot of young people haven’t been ‘exposed’ to lessons on how to sit. I was in concert choirs for years as a teenager and we were coached on how to walk in a formal gown and to sit and stand gracefully for hours under judges’ eyes. I recently was part of a graduation ceremony where the women wore knee-length dresses and the ceremony coordinator gave a quickie lesson on keeping one’s knees together, crossing ankles and sitting slightly to one side of the chair, then centering one’s self and sliding to the edge of the chair and rising without looking clumsy. Who can a young person turn to for such lessons? Without it being pointed out, who would know they didn’t look especially nice when seated in a skirt? Most public schools have cut out Home Ec and Shop and Driver’s Ed, so Deportment is going to be missing in a lot of young peoples’ lives. Someone should tell young men not to spit on the ground when they are out in public, but I don’t know who would teach the class.

I just wanted to note that “obserbation” is the funniest Freudian typo/ neologism I’ve seen all day. If it was intentional I’m even more amused.
