Grien, perhaps it was a bit presumptuous for you to jump the gun on someone without them declaring an ulterior motive. In my experience, it’s best to curl up in a corner, hidden by the shadows, watch what unfolds and then, if necessary, pounce with superpowers intact.
Maybe it was a momentary fleeting spurt of anger that helped you write the first pitting - I don’t blame you for jumping the gun, less so if you personally were affected by the tragedies of 911. It was a little overzealous, but perhaps in time you would have returned to rescind the accusations once a cooler head had prevailed.
This pitting, to me, seems an angry reaction and retalitory, and not based in clear-headed thinking. To be jumped on is never a comfortable feeling; if you felt justified by your anger in the first pitting, I imagine it was even more uncomfortable and added fuel to the fire. But I hope you can see the other side of the coin.
Take a moment and allow a little distance to gain some perspective. Then, if you still feel the same, by all means follow our instincts, but perhaps back off some vitriol; it does you and your cause no good, and gives the impression of a tad bit of fanaticism, which makes everyone that much more ready to pile on.
Take a moment, and rethink, come back when you’re sure.

I, for one, am a bit uncomfortable with posts like these. It’s kind of like people yelling “Jump!” to someone standing on a rooftop.
I would hope we would chastise someone when they’re wrong, but we wouldn’t encourage them into futher assholery. Fighting ignorance and all.

And exactly what is new about interactions with other posters being subject to moderation? I am responsible for doing exactly that.
FWIW–though the level of irrationality you’ve show probably makes this a futile exercise–you can dismiss me ‘gunning for you’ from your apparently daunting list of worries. I understand precisely where you were coming from. I agree that the odds are pretty good that “USAMA” is a reference to bin Laden, and that the user with that name is out to troll. And I agree that the vast majority of posters here would not first think of Usama Jones the greengrocer.
I think you jumped the gun with your pitting. I also think that there are a bunch of assholes who took that lapse as an opportunity to ram a spike up your ass. And now I think you’ve overreacted, fueling even more of a shit-jumping.

You have a point. But you should have granted the benefit of the doubt first. Now, this mysterious and anonymous poster is everyone’s darling, even if he never posts. Looks to me as though he’s already trolled us but good.
