I made it to the barn party last night and had a good time. Lots to eat and drink, although I only had one piece of pizza and 3 bacon wrapped water chestnuts. Slept in til 8. We’re doing Christmas at my house tomorrow so I’m doing prep work. Later this afternoon I’m going to the barn and hope to get in a pre Christmas ride. No snow in the forecast so no white Christmas. Fine with me.
Got a new belt yesterday; twasn’t cheap but the original one went many tens of thousands of miles.
Almost called the fire dept hazmat team :eek: (Lab farts are noxious!)
Otherwise spent the morning beating the dogs.

Mostly spent the day wrasslin’ with an essay. Plan was to have it done before Christmas, but I’ve fallen down a research rabbit hole, so that ain’t happening, as I have to leave tomorrow morning and the laptop’s not coming on the trip (he doesn’t get on with my family’s lack of wifi).

Norton got a nasty review from me.
Something I updated came with a free month of norton. That lasted less than 48 hours as my computer slowed to a crawl, kept locking up, and the damn popups every 5 minutes, telling me that I had norton, that norton was running, that norton had scanned my files, that norton was protecting my computer, and on and on and on.
Yeah. well who is going to protect my computer from norton? It was worse than a damn virus.
As I was uninstalling norton I got another popup asking me why.
They got an eyeful of my opinion of them. They also asked if they could contact me LOL Pity the fool who gets that assignment.
You’d think with all the sleep I got I’d be in a better mood.
Swampy, I swiped the General’s pizza for lunch; twas nummy!
Laundry is all done. Gifts are wrapped. Floors are vacuumed. The afghan is all done. Bean soup is simmering away. I’ve accomplished a lot today!

Howdy Y’all! I did go get my ears lowered this mornin’. I found a parkin’ spot fairly close and was in and out in under an hour even! Then I came back to da cave, et N.O.L. and achieved nappage. The day turned out to be fairly N.O.S. even if coolish out. Work is underway to replace the privacy fence that got borked in the hurricane. YAY! I have a ton o’ fence boards, posts, etc under the carport. With luck my mostly new fence (some sections were salvaged as in did not get blown down) will be up this next week, even with Christmas and all. YAY!
Spidey I must investigate The General’s pizza. I am very intrigued.
I’ve not seen it running for years, but it was too in your face for me back then.
Deheathenization today, and got baby cuddles, too. Plus also, a steak sammy, as well a a fruit salad milkshake at this place.

We went to the dog park and so did half the small dogs in town. Nelson had a blast.
I made paella for supper to try out the new paella pan.Twas yum!
Something screwey happened with my time punches yesterday so I’ll need to go in early for tomorrow’s double and go through Hell’s Relations to straighten it out. :smack: I do not smell an easy time coming on.
The OW got a “birthday 15% off total purchase” slip/code from Half-Price Books so we decided to visit a location we’ve never been to. The good news is we saved over $50; the bad news is do the math. We did score several MST3K collections we didn’t own and I got several complete series collections of Dr Who. And books of course; we did some damage to the clearance section. We don’t drink much at all or gamble; we read.
The boozing and gambling could be cheaper.

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 34 Amurrkin out and clear (well, dark) with a predicted high of 65 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. I shall deheathenate Luterun style this mornin’ bein’ as I agreed to do ush duty at nine a.m. After that I shall return to da cave. Around fiveish I shall return to the church house to do candle duty as we have Evensong at six p.m. Then, tomorrow, I shall again return to the church house for candle duty to make sure candles are ready for the five p.m. Christmas Eve service. Then I shall betake myself back over to the church house around nine p.m. for candle duty to ready candles for the ten-thirty p.m. Christmas Eve service, at which I have ush duty. I should just pack a bag and spend the night. Oh well, keeps me outta trouble I reckon.
Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy demands sustenance. Purtification for deheathenization must also commence at some point.

Of course I’m awake stoopit early on a Sunday… I was having a weird dream about being stranded in a non-existent county west of Indianapolis, trying to figure out how to get home. Maybe I’ll doze, or maybe not.
The back yard is brightly lit by the full moon, and it’s cold out. That’s all I have right now.

It’s a cloudy 34 degrees outside and now the WPTB are calling for rain.
I hope not, we need to put the yard waste bags out as this is the last collection day until March. I’m afraid the bags will get too wet and fall apart.
I guess all we can do is wait and see, and if need be take the bags to the recycle center later in the week.
I woke too early, around 5am. I couldn’t get back to sleep so I figured I may as well get up. It’s not like I can’t take a nap later.
I should have gotten up and ready to go out and take Ripple to day care. He was such a pest yesterday, I know he just wants to play but there is irk to be done and it goes a lot faster and easier without his ‘help’.
I’ve decided that since my son can’t go for Christmas, (has to stay home with the dog, and I just can’t express how disappointed he is :rolleyes:), that we will go down around New Years so he can spend some time with his grandmother, and I can visit with a few friends that I won’t see over Christmas.
I have two more gifts coming today for the step-nieces. I decided to get them something more, so I ordered two of those reusable notebooks, the kind you stick in the microwave to erase the pages.
My son has a few more presents coming but they probably won’t be here until after Christmas, not that he cares anyway. It’s hard to buy for people who don’t want anything.
Howdy. Lazy day thus far. Hubby is installing new ceiling fans and once he’s finished I have a ton of housework to get my house back in shape for the holiday.
