twickster - what?

You had issued moderator instructions that I think most of us interpreted as, “cut out this ‘yes it is’/‘no it isn’t’ nonsense.” Then, Human Action posts an actually contentful post about why Gary Oldman’s “point” in Air Force One might not have been a good one. His post was a total contrast to the preceding discussion on that movie, and it was a valuable contribution to the thread. But because it was about the Air Force One issue, it falls under your earlier admonition? That don’t make no sense. I’d appreciate if you rescind your latter comment in that thread and allow the interesting discussion to continue, even if it’s about a bad, '90s, Harrison Ford movie.

Thanks.

I understood the note to be about a general hijack on the subject of the legitimacy of the first Gulf War, and not specifically on the Argument Clinic sketch that was going on.

I thought Human Actions post was on target for

a) reminding which war was being discussed in the movie
b) reminding what the villains true motivations were.

It was not a general hijack, nor was it ignoring the mods instructions that appeared to be teh "yes it is, no it isnt’ thread sqabble that had started (possibly in humour).

Bad call in my book.

I read it as Miller did, but see that the other interpretation is equally valid. I’ll rescind my note.

Good point, twick.

Thanks, twickster.

Well done, Twickster.

Nice shooting, Wedge.

Wait, what?
