Awhile back, Twickster announced here that she had her final galleys on her brand new magazine venture and was wondrous at seeing the Real thang, as any hard working person would be.
I recently got my copy in the mail, and , yep, she should be. It’s well written(edited ;)) great design, lots of good garden info. I have some experience in magazine publishing, and know how much work it is, and, Twickster’s mag is a fine piece of work. I’m impressed.
You go Girl ! In devouring it with pre-season gung-ho as a gardener, I was proud to know that a great SD member was behind that fine reading.
Aw, elelle – thanks so much – as someone who knows publishing – and who knows a lot more about gardening than I do – your praise means a lot to me, it really does. And if you liked February – March is even better – wait till you see the four page feature on … compost!
(And Jim, of course you liked it – I used one of your questions in the first Q&A column. In fact, most of the questions the first three months are from Dopers … tomndebb, GingeroftheNorth, Hilarity N. Suze, Levdragon, Shoshanna, et al. If the name looks normal, it’s probably their real name – if it looks Doperrific, it’s my shout-out to y’all.)
Thanks thanks thanks – I’ve been having a pretty not-great week here, and this thread has me smiling a huge smile this morning. And I’ll pass on your praise to my staff, who are a smart, creative, and hard-working crew.
Since we Canadians can’t get it, but there may be some articles we would be interested in, anyone interested in forwarding me just one issue to check it out? I’d gladly pay for half the issue price (aaaww, who am I kidding - I just want to see Twick’s work).
