Twin Peaks Episode 16 (Open Spoilers)

Yes!
Yes!
Yes!
Finally!

I think Audrey’s about to wake up too. She made it to the Roadhouse.

Looks like she woke up but… in front of a mirror? You’d think if she was in a coma she’d be lying in a bed.

  1. Richard Horne – rest in pieces you cretinous little twerp.

  2. Diane – Fuck you! (No, seriously, I did not see that coming and will miss your snarkiness.)

  3. The one and only AGENT COOPER returns! (And with only two more episodes to go!)

  4. Audrey and her little gnome husband visit the Roadhouse. But IS it the Roadhouse?? Is this Roadhouse we’ve been seeing for the past 16 episodes the ‘real’ Roadhouse in the ‘real’ Twin Peaks, or has it (and all the non-sequitur conversations within it) been part of Audrey’s extended catatonic hallucination? And if so, what about James and Shelley, who’ve both been to the Roadhouse this past season? I can see why Audrey might have a delusion of her son Richard at the bar, but why would she bother dreaming of James and his green-gloved, super-powered cockney friend? I’m so confused…What? What?

  5. I just KNOW that little gnome husband of Audrey’s is some kind of Black Lodge demon!

  6. Oh yeah… the one and only AGENT COOPER returns! (And with only two more episodes to go!)

“I AM the FBI!”

Evil-Cooper said “goodbye son” so I think it’s now confirmed that Richard’s parents are Audrey and evil-Cooper.

I loved the scene in front of Dougie’s house. A shootout erupting from a parking dispute that’s apparently unrelated to anything.

Here’s what I see happening next. Cooper asked Mike if he still had the seed. Then he gave Mike a hair and told him to “make another”. I think his plan is for Mike to resurrect Dougie so that he can be returned to Jane-E and Sonny-Jim. That’s what he meant when he said that he’d be returning.

Cooper and Audrey are now both awake. I think that they’ll finally end up together.

When “Audrey’s Dance” music started, I smiled.

Coop is back!

Good episode. I can’t wait for the finale(two parts!) next week.

When Coop woke up and asked for sandwiches, he should also have asked for coffee.

Both episodes are next week? I’m not sure if that makes me happy or sad.

So Richard Horne was doppelCooper’s son. He was literally a bad seed. Cool.

Seeing Kyle Maclachlan slip back into true Dale Cooper mode was electrifying–the best moment of this whole show. And his goodbye moment with Janey-E and Sonny Jim was wonderful and heroic. He’s really one of the best, most heroic characters in the history of television drama…which is why maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to make him mostly absent for the bulk of the show’s run.

Audrey’s Dance was maybe the most Twin Peaks moment in this whole run of Twin Peaks, if you know what I mean. I wonder if Audrey is the ‘dreamer’ that Monica Belluci was referring to previously.

I also enjoyed Pumpkin and Honey Bunny’s demise. They died like they lived: so random and stupid. I knew that guy would have a gat in the trunk of his car.

I want Candie, Sandie, and Mandie to follow me around everywhere. That’s the life.

By the way, I think that fresh, new, up & coming musical talent Edward James Severinson just may have the makings of a hot new musical force. I expect to see bright things in his future.

Until I saw your post I never made that connection. Hutch (Tim Roth) played Pumpkin in Pulp Fiction.

Hutch and Chantal are almost certainly an homage to Tarantino.

We know now who Richard’s father was, but I’d forgotten that there was another possibility.

I guess it wasn’t a long day for Hutch & Chantal after all. That was pretty satisfying. Loved that it was a totally random confrontation that took them out.

Diane says she’s in the sheriff’s station? Could that mean she has some connection to Naido?

Mister C got coordinates from Ray (via Bill Hasting’s secretary?), Diane and Teakettle Jeffries, right? Two of them matched each other and pointed to the rock that vaporized Richard Horne. The third must point to the Twin Peaks portal since real Cooper is headed there. It seems that Diane’s and Jeffries’ coordinates must have been the ones that matched.

What was the deal with the “hum” before Cooper came to? Did Bushnell hear it and go looking for the source, or what? It seemed to be the same hum as heard at The Great Northern.

Yeah, I said a few weeks ago that JJW was the only person we knew for sure had sex with Audrey.

What if Wheeler were actually a lodge being who later became evil-Cooper?

Although a Cooper was seen at the hospital, and we know that evil-Cooper is a rapist.

My guess is that it’s the hum of Cooper’s true soul reuniting (or uniting) with Dougie’s body. On a similar note, the hum that Ben Horne’s new secretary detected around the Great Northern Lodge may have been Audrey’s soul finding its way back to her body.

Folks think there’s any chance that Laura is going to get out of the lodge herself?

If I heard correctly, Diane said that evil Cooper raped her. I wonder if he raped Audrey, too, resulting in both Richard, and whatever state Audrey has been in for the last 25 years.

O Diane is just E Naido backwards. May also have some connection with Janey-E, Candie, Mandie, and Sandie.

I think it was Mike busting through the veil. Some denizen of the Lodges, anyway. I’m wondering if the hum at the Great Northern is Audrey, who seems to be a denizen of somewhere, and is just wanting to get back home.

I think what put Audrey in a coma was the explosion in the bank vault in the Season 2 finale. So if Cooper raped her, it was while she was comatose. Shudder. And that would have produced Richard.
