Twitter bans MyPillow corporate account after Mike Lindell uses it to circumvent personal Twitter ban

AFAICT, just your typical Trumpeteer tactics: flinging feces and see if anything sticks. The current crap falls under freedumb of speech.

The countersuit is to make Dominion pay for suing to hold MyPillow responsible for its actions.

Mike needs a lot of money to help him get over his hurt fee-fees.

Doesn’t this guy have a company to run? I’d be job hunting constantly right now if I worked somewhere where the CEO was this focused on things other than running the frickin’ company he founded.

It might actually be running better in his absence. Plus, given that they’ve lost some big retailers, there’s probably capacity to ease up on production at the moment.

Dominion’s fault!!1!!

That is indeed freaking hilarious.

Here is a snippet:

The new complaint from MyPillow, filed in Minnesota federal court, accuses Dominion of waging an “illegal campaign to punish and silence their critics.”

MyPillow’s lawsuit also makes a distinction between Lindell and his company, arguing, “MyPillow has not engaged in discussion about the 2020 election.”

“In making these statements, Lindell spoke for himself, not MyPillow,” the lawsuit says.

So MyPillow, not Lindell, is suing Dominion. They are suing Dominion for trying to “punish and silence their critics” in violation of the First Amendment. And yet, MyPillow is careful to state that the company has not engaged in any discussion, and Lindell never spoke for the company.

In other words, MyPillow is suing Dominion while being very careful to establish that MyPillow itself has not suffered at all by the actions of Dominion, because MyPillow itself is not one of the critics of Dominion being “punished” and “silenced”.

But please, go ahead MyPillow. I’m sure that Rule 11(b) won’t apply to you. And even if it inevitably does, you have deep, fluffy pockets and can pay the sanctions. Just as Lindell is personally sued into oblivion by Dominion.

Carry on, CertainlyNotMyPillow.

Wiki says MyPillow has 1500 employees. With that many people, it’s entirely possibly he’s not needed for the day to day operations. He might not be negotiating any new contracts right now, but I assume the supplies come in, the pillows get shipped out and the checks get signed without him.

Not only is he countersuing, but he’s suing for even more money! That means his suit is even more important and it will scare Dominion into dropping theirs.

That makes my head spin. MyPillow is suing Dominion on the basis that Dominion is trying to silence its critics by suing them, except that Dominion isn’t suing MyPillow, they’re suing Mike Lindell who MyPillow have indicated did not speak for the company, and therefore MyPillow haven’t been damaged by Dominion? Wow.

Can Dominion countersue MyPillow now as well (on the basis that their previous suit wasn’t against the company)?

Although as of this moment you still can’t sign up for a FrankSpeech account, you can watch a livestream of Mike Lindell ranting with his white supremacist pals. I wonder if he’s going to man the entire 48 Frank-a-Thon.

I’m not going to post the link, but it’s easy enough to find. I’ve hit the play button a few times and it’s like playing “amusement or torture” roulette.

All I can think of when I see him is that he looks like Hitler, only fatter and coked-up.

Do we know how much money he’s raised?

I’ve mostly only encountered Cloudflare on sites where you primarily view content, not submit it. I was under the impression all it did was cache a version of your site, not actually allow you to submit your own content.

Seeing as the site should not have any content, and will only display content if you log in, I wonder how useful Cloudflare even is.

As for the current suit, here’s a relevant LegalEagle short:

I tuned in. I think Michael Flynn is sitting next to him at the moment, chiming in with the occasional “Yeah!” while Lindell is in full flow about how mean Twitter is. Haven’t seen any announcements about how much money has been raised - there’s a display behind him with a big number but it doesn’t seem to relate to anything - but then Lindell has barely paused for breath at any point.

Oh God , Diamond and Silk have just turned up. I’m out.

A few highlights as the trolls call in:

(Video of Lindell’s yak-a-thon accompanied by a text crawl: “FRANKSPEECH.COM WAS ATTACKED ON ITS LAUNCH DAY!! SINGUP [sic] HAS BEEN PUT ON HOLD!!”)

I’m sorry but if this 48 hour ‘FRANK-a-thon’ does not include a hot dog eating contest I’ll have no choice but to sue;
the Dominion (not limited to, but including; the Kardashians),
my pillow,
my bolster,
twelve people named ‘Mike’ chosen at random
for 1.8739 billion dollars.

Out crazy me Lindell, I dare ya’.

I snortled.

Hey! Keep Canada out of your crazy litigation politics!

I think he means the Founders from Deep Space Nine. :alien:

It’s such a pain in the ass when a process server has to go all the way to the Gamma Quadrant.
