Using Thursdays as a deadline is borderline “genius.” That way people are expecting something Friday morning. That means you have less than 12 hours of dodging questions before the week’s news cycle is through and you’re into the weekend. By Monday your suckers have forgotten all about it.
Hey, notice that they’re getting smarter (or the targets are) - they are now using the “if everything goes right” ahead of the deadlines, rather than establish the data and -crickets-. This way, when the nothingburger happens, they can claim the bad actors/democrats/deep state/aliens thwarted them but they’ll never stop fighting/stay tuned/buy our product!
