Whoa! Whoa, everyone! We can’t rehash those threads here. We just can’t have a free-for-all now, bringing in arguments from those other threads.
I am now of the opinion that we’ve gone over the substance of the problem enough. I’ll leave the thread open a few minutes for everyone to finish their thoughts and then I’ll close the thread.
Everyone is now directed to:
• Stop posting what you believe the faults of Dio to be
• Start a new thread on the pepper spray issue or
• Start a thread pitting Diogenes and his posting style (or lauding him as a savior of our times, as you see fit)
• Offer any last-gasp opinions on “how this sitation should be handled” (though I feel I’ve outlined how it will be handled in the future).
Most people are saying the opposite - that you should defend yourself, not simply state your opinion in as few words as possible. Explain why you think things, explain what you think is wrong with what other people are saying. You know, debate, discuss, converse. Whichever is appropriate for the thread.
Have you noticed that no one has complained about your posting in this thread? That’s because this thread, unlike the ones people are complaining about, is actually about you.
Threads about 17 year olds dating 25 year olds or little kids getting pepper sprayed are actually about those topics. Once you realize that many people in the thread hold views you disagree with, you could easily post to your heart’s content about that fact if you’d just open a new thread in the Pit instead of hijacking the existing one. That new thread would be about the topic you want to talk about (why everyone is wrong) and no one could tell you not to talk about it.

Diogenes, my advice to use moderation in your responses. People are really, at the heart of it, only asking you to use restraint. Dry up the barrage and temper your responses.
I’m certainly not the only moderator and I’m not Setting Policy here. Just offering to help sort all this out. It will take your participation, too.
