Hotchacha! Christmas vacation began 97 minutes ago. I’m on my second Guinness, the alarm clock has been shut off, nothing to grade, no lessons to prep…I’m living large. 
Oh, crap! I still have to find something for the wife for Christmas! :eek:
In two hours, I’m starting on a vacation of one week and one day. AND I’ve already done all my Christmas shopping! Woo!
I got all my grades turned in last night around 6pm, after two solid days of grading final projects and exams.
I now have two weeks off of grading and dealing with student e-mail. (And the university’s e-mail service will be down for a week over break while they transfer servers!)
However, I still have prep to do. The next quarter is only two weeks away, and I have to rewrite two online courses that are using new textbooks since the last time I taught them…
I’ve got three weeks off! Woot woot! Not too much Guinness for me tonight, though, I’ve got to get up early tomorrow for a 6 hour drive.
Mine began yesterday (Friday) at noon. I don’t go back till January 4th. Plus I get to go on real vacation (out of town to a Western Maryland ski resort) from Christmas Eve till New Year’s Eve.
Beat that, suckers.
Okay, I will. My vacation starts December 20th and doesn’t stop until January 16th. And on top of that the family and I are going to Washington, D.C. from the 27th to the 30th inclusive. Boo. Yah.
I’ve still got two papers to do, but for the most part–I’m free and clear!
Of course, I’m working part-time this holiday season, and I’m dreading the moment my marks come in… 
Heh, my christmas “break” began on December 13th, the day after my last exam. AND! I dont go back until January 17th! Oh yea!
Well, I do have that pesky “part time” job to deal with… but no papers for over a month!
