WTF is “financial debt terrorism”? Is it anything like “there’s a black man in the white house, lets blame everything on him”?
I do, but only for non-christians.
It’s the Pit. Your statement was that you don’t see any similarity between a Christian anti-gay group and the KKK. Both are Christian hate groups and a cite from wiki is all the trouble I’m prepared to go to for the Pit.
Because everyone should know everything. Are you fighting or promoting ignorance?

If everything is actually his fault, should we really call it “blaming”?
Let’s not confuse Perry’s Reliant Stadium Revival with the National Day of Prayer–which has been going on for years. Perry’s promoting the jamboree on the website supplied by Texas taxpayers (as school funds are slashed mercilessly). Hey, we’re paying for a a link to the event itself.
Token minorities appear but it’s a pretty pale group. Including worthies from The American Family Association. The Texas Freedom Network hasa letter for any interested Texan to send, asking the bozo to “stop using faith as a political weapon.”
Oh, and Perry apparently won’t let a little thing like threatening secession stop him from getting serious about a run for President. Why did he choose my city to kick off his campaign? A diverse city with a gay mayor? A city that went for Obama? As did most Texas cities…
You’re not the Real Texas.
Are you saying the federal government was debt-free in 2008?
Then why doesn’t Perry pitch a revival tent in the middle of The Real Texas for his Campaign Kickoff? Out where only the prairie dogs will be annoyed?
No. My comment was tongue-in-cheek.
Translation: Disingenuous analogies and laziness is what’s required in a Pit thread.
Check.
My turn to fling poo: Antisemites and Islamophobes are in the same category as separation of church and state groups.
To paraphrase Dr. Samuel Johnson:
“appeals for prayer are the last refuge of a scoundrel”
Seriously, do these fundies ever consider that asking God to “make things right” betrays a LACK of faith in divine providence?.
In any case, do you want sleazy politicians praying for you?
I like what someone posted in the comments:
5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full.
6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.
7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Your shit don’t stick.
That’s a critique of Jews who pray in groups of ten and have group prayers.
Nor did theirs.

Really? You think that’s only directed at Jews who pray in groups of ten? You doesn’t mean you?
No, if you are too retarded to draw two circles that overlap and label one Christians and the other one Hate Groups and understand that black hating and gay hating Christian groups go in the overlapping bit, there isn’t a damn thing I can do about it.
The Jew hating and Muslim hating Christians go in the overlapping bit too.
If you want to wallow in shit being the apologist for Christian hate groups, be my guest.
Someone who professes to be a Christian is forbidden by Jeebuz to do stuff like that.
Christain fundamentalists are or aren’t hate groups, they are not terrorists. The KKK are terrorists. That’s why your own cite is titled “Christian Terrorism.” Imagine if one made the same conflation with another religion. I don’t know, maybe one practiced in the Middle East. What do you suppose your reaction would be?
If you want to argue distinction between terrorist groups and hate groups by all means go for it.
The connection that started this tangent was me pointing out the American Family Association is a hate group. They were a top funder for Perry’s little activity.
Are they on the same level at the KKK of the past, I’d say no. The KKK of the past is certainly a group that deserves the infamy it has attained they represent a combination of violence, corruption of law and misinformation campaigns that I think would be impossible to bring forth today.
However if you want to compare the current KKK to the American Family Association. The AFA is a far worse organization they do influence national politics with money and misinformation campaigns while the KKK is barely heard from and few if any politicians would be caught dead publicly taking money from them.
you know, the whole national day of prayer thing is sponsored by the American Family Association…which the SPLC has labeled as a HATE GROUP. I see an ethics violation from hell here, and really thinks the people of texas need to get over their apathy, quit letting the retirees run the show and call for governor good hair to step down. I say this as a Texan who has gone from proud to ashamed in the space of two governors. Oh yeah…sorry about the whole George W. thing. we really didn’t mean to let him out of the state.
