I think the name of this game was “Type Wizard” or something similar. The player typed in words that showed up on the screen in order to blow up incoming objects. I was hoping a version of this old “educational” game might be available online.

Sorry - I don’t have an answer for you, but I DO remember the game. I believe I used to play it on my parents’ Apple IIE, to give you an idea of how OLLLLLD I am.
I’ll ask my brother (he has an amazing memory) and see if he remembers the name.

I played it on an IBM clone with a new CGA monitor. the graphics were terrible but the game was great.
