Ugly Betty premier - I missed first half, fill me in

I got a new DVR and forgot to program for Ugly Betty; I missed the first half hour of the premier episode. I read the other thread, but still confused. Please fill me in on the following cliff hangers:

1. Amanda looks fat. Is she pregnant, or just pigging out from stress? I know from last season she has a connection with Fay; why does she want Bradford’s ear hairs for DNA testing?

2. Did Betty contact Henry and tell him the baby may not be his? (End of last season, she was going to do just that.)

3. How did Clair get out of jail?

That’s all. BTW, Santos isn’t coming back; he’s got a major role on Shark.

1. Pigging out due to stress. They wanted the ear hair because Mark thinks there’s a possibility that Bradford is her father. Which makes the whole Daniel/Amanda thing last season just…ewwww. Or, as Amanda put it this ep, “That’s a dirty that won’t wash off.”

3. That happened at the end of last season. They were being transported and decoyed a guard by putting the one woman prisoner into a diabetic coma with a chocolate bar. Then Clair took his gun as he was distracted and she and Yoga made the break.
