UK Big Brother 3

Oh BTW a lot of the sex stuff isn’t shown on Ch4. I know about some of it from E4 and message boards where people with the net feeds also post. some of these guys admit to ~12hours viewing a day

I heard it but didn’t believe my ears. I thought she must have said “Samantha’s anus” …I really feel sorry for PJ, no wonder he was leading the chorus of anti-Jade sentiment. The poor bloke can’t even get any peace when asleep. Right now, the rooftop route must be looking quite temting.

Her lack of self-perspective is remarkable.

Ch4 only showed a bit of that. It went on for a while and ended with her asking him who he finds fuckable in the house. His answer was basically all the girls and she got jealous

If a bloke did what she did the security guards would have been in the house getting him out of the bed.

God was a vile human being. I’m still kinda worried for her though. I think her life will be hell when she leaves and she doesn’t have the equipment to deal with it.

When I came online this morning the board was down so I peeked, just peeked, at a BB site. It was suggesting PJ has <allegedly> a restraining order against him for violence against his wife </allegedly>. Good Lord ! I temporarily withdraw my smypathy until we know for sure.

Anyway I did catch last night and Yojimbo was right on the money. She’s gone but how fit was her body ! Oh well.

So what’s the win-win nomination scenario this week: Ginger roots vs. the Bermondsey bruiser ?

Both, with a Semtex doormat in front as they leave.

Well I wasn’t that acurate.

It seems no info. of outside was given and jade said that there was no sex. the BJ was simulated, she still says she can’t remember the night so how can she what happened…

Anyhoo did you see the BB version of the storming of the Bastille? Tim getting the other all worked up and nearly getting the revolution he wanted. Now he’s stuck on the poor side on his own and likely to be nominated today with Jade IMO.

Alex and Adele’s relationship has got stronger and more interesting. They have basically set up against everyone else. It’s them against the world. They are friendly to everyone (with the exception of Jade who is way out in the cold) but dismiss them all in private. They’re like a old married couple.

The show just gets more interesting IMO.

You’ve got me confused now. There was some coverage last night in which the poor side (which is/was everyone except Ginger) was going to cross the line. Last I saw was they’d been into the diary room and Jonny then said they needed to sit around the table and discuss it further. That was it.

But it seems you’re saying Ginger is now on the poor side by himself - there must have been quite a lot more to the story…presumably everyone had to swap sides because of the rebellion ?
Tonight’s nomination day !!! I’d tend to agree with you on Jade and Ginger but I slightly worry for Kate…besides, I’m running out of women to look at.

Alex and Adele might be getting closer but I’d think there’s zero chance of hanky panky. You know what annoys me about Adele ? – all those open-ended questions/rhetoric things she says which invite others to be derogatory about someone else while she says nothing. It’s looks like a whole series of superficial ‘we’re-on-the-same-side’ ploys when she’s actually trying to make others look bad and also finding out the shifting views in the house. Boo, hiss…

London_Calling:

I didn’t watch the challenge, but I understand only Tim and Kate passed. Kate then tried a bonus question that would have resulted in the divide being removed, but failed. She was relegated to the poor side. Tim realised he was in for a dull week–and probably a nomination–and encouraged the others to rebel and join him. Alex and Adele weren’t interested and got quite stroppy. The others went to ask Big Brother what the punishment would be, then the idea collapsed into meandering discussions.

BB highlight of the weekend: Jade’s boyfriend in the Sunday papers saying he’s dumping the “pig-faced tart”. The sad thing is I bet she thinks he’ll be waiting for her.

No sorry Ginger in on the rich side on his own. The others talked about revolting but you could tell they really didn’t want to do it.

The PJ restraining order. This was reported in the Sunday papers aswell. Don’t know if it’s true. If it is true I find it a bit strange that they let him in the house.

Did you see Jade hearing the crowd chanting “GET JADE OUT”. The other tried to convince her that it was something else but she and they knew it was her. She’s in deep do-do.

Thanks both for clearing that up. “Pig-faced tart” This is news to him ?

I find the Restraining Order story difficult to assess. It would seem expedient for BB to have required the hosemates to all sign one of those disclosure forms which allows a third party to approach the police and have them access your record.

To not do that would have been very poor practice and potentially exposed the BB UK franchise holders to legal action had violence occured.

Curious.

I guess Jade is still very young. Somehow I’m inclined to think maturity will not help her address her ‘problems’ but I do try to give her a little latitude. It’s very difficult though.

I am apparently the only person in the world who likes Jade. Sure she’s loud and obnoxious and stupid, but she’s young. I like how confident she is in her body and herself. I don’t like it when people call her “pig-faced” - just because she’s not stunningly beautiful like the rest of the girls. I think it’s harsh to criticise what she looks like. And let me tell you, if Graham Norton has her on his show, he’d better be willing to face up to making a mockery of her about five times a night.

And if the braying pack of an audience boos her when she leaves, I won’t be watching. It makes me cross that people are so knowingly cruel.

On a lighter note, I did have to laugh at the cock-up that was the task this week and their “Yeah- lets revolt! Only could everyone but me please do it first?”

Nomination predictions this week: Jade and Alex.

Francesca - Yep, I was – still am to some extent – reticent about criticising someone so young. However, the line for me was the way in which she sexually imposed herself on PJ, repeatedly – that’s not youthful exuberance, it’s ignorance and gross insensitivity. No guy, of any age, would have been allowed to get away with that either in the group or by BB. We all learn those rules very early.

So, by extension, I now feel her attitude with respect to her own intelligence and body are similarly couched: “I don’t care if I’m stupid”, etc. It’s a lazy, child-like, self-absorbed and ugly attitude, IMHO. For her own sake, I hope she grows up – and I don’t mean that in a patronising sense. Make of it what you will.
Second point: She’s in the third series of BB. She knows it’s a tabloid-led bitch fest and how the public perceive the contestants. She is not a shrinking violet.

I don’t worry for her self-esteem just yet and she’ll make a lot of money when she comes out (a fact of which she’s very well aware) but, in her own interets, I hope she tones it all down a little.

FWIW, I’m thinking there might be a surprise or two with the next nominations. Obviously, Jade is favourite but they’ve all been so focused on her that I’m not sure most of them have a second. I wonder if this means the nominations will be more spread, resulting in half the house being the second equal nomination. If that makes sense. Might be interesting.

Also interesting that the focus on Jade has been so acute since they all heard the chanting. It’s almost as if they feel they have to go with public opinion or they’ll (individually) alienate the public - which would have repercussions when it’s their turn.

From that 30 min show, it rather looks like Jade knows the game’s up. It all seems to have a curious tribal quality to it.

Or perhaps I’m thinking too much about the bloody thing.

I missed it yesterday. I shall have to catch up today.

I do agree that Jade is rather more predatory than she sould be and the “I don’t care if I’m stupid” attitude does annoy me. But, I dunno… I just have a soft spot for her I suppose.

As for when she comes out, I just hope she gets a very good agent. Someone who’ll know how to handle her and where to place her so that she doesn’t just make an arse of herself.

Anyone got a link to a decent BB website that tells you all the news, not just what channel 4 wants us to see?

Here is one for you: http://bigbrother.digitalspy.co.uk/subsect.php?sub_id=2

There is live updates too, tells you what happens hour by hour or whenever this person gets to watch the show.

Jade, Adele, Kate and Jonny are up for eviction. I would say it will be Jade but I would like her to stay, just because she entertains us. Adele is boring and I think it would be great if she was evicted, leave Alex alone. Alex was quite funny before he started to spend all his time with Adele.

Follow the van? What kind of twisted people are these?

I want Adele to leave. I think she’s a moany cow.

Oh and thanks for the link Freckles. Good site.

I might even be tempted to vote this week. Or would that be taking it too far?

Have you been having a Sophie-like tea leaves moment, L_C? Should I get my money on Hewitt at Wimbledon? Could you contact my dead granny and tell her I love her?

Fran and freckles, ditto on Adele. She’s irritating, boring and conniving - she leaves Jade in the ha’penny place when it comes to back-biting. Kate deserves to win it outright for her nose-dive into the bedroom carpet when donning her fourth pair of trousers after necking a bottle of champagne. Outside of that, over the past few weeks, I’ve been coming around to the view that she is the soundest and most straightforward of all the housemates.

And why haven’t the housemates decided, like everyone I know, that Tim is a fuckwit extraordinaire? His holier than thou attitude to Alex and Kate’s spin the bottle snog takes the biscuit.

I get the impression that Kate is the one I’d get on with most in real life. Her drunken dressing and the broom spinning-and-running were the funniest bits of the show I’ve seen.

And to think I’d promised myself I wouldn’t watch it. Those uncut(ish) late-night E4 bits are hypnotic, dammit.
