Unanswerable questions and eternal mysteries of pop culture (SPOILERS).

I can’t believe this one hasn’t been mentioned – but then again, I didn’t think of it until today:

Is Deckard a replicant?

Curb Your Enthusiasm seems to have a few unresolved issues:

What happened to the restaurant that was the story arc of the entire 3rd season? The season ended with the grand opening with the Tourette’s chef and everyone screaming obscenities, and then the restaurant is never seen or mentioned again. Are we to assume that it went out of business because of the opening night incident?

Also from season 3: In the “Nanny From Hell” episode with Cheri Oteri we learn that Susie Greene is pregnant, but she still hasn’t given birth two years later. Did I miss something?

What happened to the “klan dog” from earlier in this season? I’ve only seen it in that one episode.

In 1985 the Cramps asked, “Can you pussy do the dog?” I’ve never got an answer

Girls have picked them every one.

Well…

Alternatively, he’d show up in a bunch of disguises and freak out a teenage girl with a brother in a wheelchair.

What’s up with Dr. Girlfriend?

In one episode the former boy genius with the large head repeats a rumor that Dr Girlfriend has had monkey ovaries implanted. This, various other things, and her voice make it likely that Dr Girlfriend is actually a post operative transexual.

I watched KP last Saturday, and it looks like she has a picture of Draken also. Maybe she has pics of all her enemies?

Brian

Yes, she has a picture of Draken, but screen shots show it is a mug-shot, while Shego’s is of her posing.

She saw him walk out of the shower?

This was one of the things that always kinda bothered me: an lack of continuity between the TV show, the toys, the comics, and the movie.

When you bought a Transformers toy way back then, the back of the package had a stat card that you could only decipher using a piece of red acetate film (conveniently contained within the package) to filter out the “noise” drawn on a special graph.

This graph rated each Transformer in a set of categories, much like attributes for a character in a role-playing game; they were given Strength, Firepower, Speed, etc. ratings.

According to these ratings, both Brawn and Ironhide are supposed to be damn-near indestructible, so how is it that Decepticons with Firepower less than 10 (Optimus Prime and Megatron both had ratings this high) would be able to do them in so easily? Lucky shot?

I did think it was neat, though, when an episode of the show involved a unique weapon or ability from the Transformer’s stat card that wasn’t always utilized; for example, Cliffjumper’s weapon of choice is “glass gas” - a gas that causes metal to become extremely brittle - and he actually used that in at least one episode. Other special abilities I remember seeing in the show were Sideswipe’s rocket pack and Mirage’s invisibility (in the same episode, no less!).

Back in the days of Usenet, they used to debate whether Brawn really died. Pretty much the reason was that he was too strong to die from one shot. It was a debate thing between fans like wings on Balrogs and Enterprise vs Star Destroyer.

Another one was who won in King Kong vs Godzilla? Leaving aside the American vs Japanese version urban legend, some say King Kong walked away victorious, others say King Kong was retreating after taking his beating.

What is Mr. Bean’s first name?

Orson?

String?

Lima?

Green?

Collard?

Snap?

French Cut?

Sean?

What was MacGyver’s first name?

Angus. It was mentioned in a couple of episodes.

Brian

Thanks mate!

Regarding Lost in Translation, I think it was one of those things we’ll never know. I’m assuming it’s to be left to the viewer to decide what would’ve been said at that moment in the movie. :::::shrug:::::

What’s Superman’s middle name?

Is Nightmare 2 about homosexuality and did the director intend it?
If he didn’t, then it’s very odd.

Who killed Mr. Boddy?
