Unanswered Questions from TV

Re: Star Trek–the last tow years of the original five year mission were the animated shows.

Re: WKRP–I believe that Andy had a sizable record library in his office.

My questions:

Twin Peaks: Who/What was BOB? Did Audrey survive the blast in the bank vault (Yes, I know in interviews Sherylin Fenn always said she would)? What were the owls, if not what they seem? Is Cooper in the Black Lodge and how will he escape? Is Josie Packard really trapped in a knob in the Great Northern? Did Leo survive the spiders? What happened next on “Invitation to Love”?

<<Where did Sheridan actually go - to the Rim, to another level of existence, or did he just die? >>

Well, the Minbari say he’ll be back one day.

Ranchoth

In the Federation’s early space-faring days, they enforced that rule (The Tertiary Directive,) to prevent Kirk from cruising upside-down alongside sister vessels to peek up the female crew’s miniskirts.

“The Owls Are Not What They Seem” – Yet another TP Wizard of Oz reference. (When Dorothy, the Tinman, and the Scarecrow first enter the forest, Dorothy looks up and sees two owls sitting in a dead tree. There is a flash of lightning, and the owls are replaced with vultures.)

[q]Why didn’t Pete ever let Jim drive in “Adam-12”? [q/]

Because Pete found it difficult to drive while he was giving head.

I swear in one episode they mentioned Quincy’s first name was ‘Richard’.

Or with only two DJs? Those guys must have worked 12 hour shifts, 365 days a year. And what was up with the station’s format? The music Venus played was completely different from what Johnny played.

Oh, and I think the hormones they gave Brian Bonsall to make him grow fast were donated by Bart, Lisa, and Maggie, who haven’t grown at all.

On Star Trek: TNG was Whoopi Goldberg’s hat modeled on the Enterprise, or the other way around?

This is a serious question about **I love Lucy ** and it has driven me nuts for years:

Lucy is very pregnant with Little Ricky. They are at a chinese restaurant. They get the bill for their food and she is charged for herself and her belly because Mr. Asian man says she is eating for two, dare-fo you pay for two. Wacky mistranslations and hilarity ensue. For the life of me I cannot remember what the outcome of this was.
Someone end my misery.
Also,

Why wouldn’t Ricky let Lucy play at his club just to get her to shut the hell up? Unless, it was a strip club…
What did Fred Mertz do for a living, besides wear a wife beater shirt all the time and get hen pecked?

The same hormones they fed his character, Alexander (Worf’s son), on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine to make him grow from a toddler to a young adult in about half the time it takes for a human to do so. It’s either that or overexposure to short, greedy males (brother Alex on Family Ties and Quark on ST: DS9). . . .

Ooops, almost forgot my questions. As a Ewing, I should know these, but I got vertigo just trying to keep up with “Uncle” J.R.'s affairs. . .

  1. On “Dallas”, either on the series or in the later TV movies, has anyone ever told Christopher who his biological parents were?
  2. On “Knots Landing”, did Lucy ever show up to meet her younger siblings (or were they half-siblings)?
  3. Back to “Dallas”, why did Miss Ellie’s car (a Volkswagen Cabriolet, as I recall) NEVER have a “Ewing X” license plate (guess whose car I took my handle from!), and why did none of the Ewing autos in the TV movies have them? Yes, I can understand J.R. was off in Europe recovering from a nervous breakdown for several years, so he may have let his plate lapse, but what excuse does Bobby have?

Sir Rhosis.
The moon in Space 1999 couldn’t explode. It’s surface was covered with all the spare space ships they needed to be able to crash one per episode.

Actually, it is from Carson; they show it on that commercial for The Best of Carson videos. Johnny was inquiring about the fact that the Cartrights were four grown men out on that ranch with no women. Landon “set the record straight” by emphasising that the Cartrights were NOT gay, and you got the rest. Don’t know if Carson ever made the cat remark, but that same commercial has Jane Fonda asking him about it. Doesn’t say in the clip who he was supposed to have said it to, though. I always heard Raquel Welch.

Almost. In one episode, they showed his business card, which read “Dr. R. Quincy.” It’s possible, but not certain, that his first name was Richard. His full first name was never mentioned.

  1. Does Cachi love Joanie?
  2. On Alice, where did Flo go? Did any one take her up and kiss her grits?
  3. Did the dreaded Sleestacks ever get Asthma (sp?) medicine?
4)am I the only one who remebers the cartoon “smoo”?

The Cosby’s mysteriously added an older daughter…even though in one show they said Denice was the oldest. Too bad it wasnt a son. it would account for Chuck Cunningham.

In the first episode of the Cosby show, Claire asks Cliff “Why do we have four children?” to which he replies, “Because we didn’t want five.”

How about disappearing children? Besides Chuck, the youngest daughter on “Family Matters” disappeared after a couple of seasons, and Mrs. Torkelson had two children disappear when “The Torkelsons” changed locations and formats (can’t remember the new show, though.)

I didn’t realize what a can of worms I’d opened up with my Quincy and Columbo question. I knew there was no answer, which is why I listed them. But “James” for Columbo? Come on, he clearly would have an Italian name.

  1. Why is Charles in charge of our days and our nights?

  2. What kind of parents name their daughter Punky?

  3. How are Larry and Balki cousins?

  1. Punky Brewster’s actual name was Penelope. She hid her actual name to prevent being returned to the foster home (or was a group home) she had run away from before ending up with the old guy.

  2. Balki explained it in the first episode. Short version: they are very distant cousins.

True his first name was never said but check out the pic on this site here. I say Frank. Sure looks like Frank to me.

It was Zsa Zsa Gabor. I’ll look for a cite.

And apparently not true…
