Being a primarily visual person, I virtually never notice the stereotypical “sexy actress voice” (and if I do notice it, I actually find it very annoying instead of “sexy”) – but I must agree with you on this point. I loved hearing Kate talk! Very sexy woman, on both the visual and auditory levels!

I don’t think she was at all underrated. People always talked about how hot she was, even in-story. Remember the episode with the sleazy photographer who snaked naked pictures of her and was going to sell them to a girly magazine? Jan was just subtler than Jennifer, who needed the tight sweaters, big hair, and elaborate makeup to be seen as hot.
