Yep, the whole thing was hyped on a number of channels and has basically died now.
“The videos you’ve seen are basically the best we’ve got, and we aren’t sure what they show” is the most disappointing possible “reveal”.
One other point that needs to be stressed, for these and a vast number of other observations, in a vast number of fields: There are two different things that can be meant by “we don’t know what this is”. One thing it can mean, and which conclusion people all too often jump to, is “we don’t know of anything that this could be”. Which implies that, whatever it is, it’s something we don’t know of.
But the other thing it can mean, which is all too often neglected, is “we know of multiple things this could be, but we don’t know which one”. Which suggests that, whatever it is, it probably is something we know of.
